Just wondering if any one knows of any plans for a warm up in the NorthEast before Germany. (ala US-Holland 4 yrs ago in Boston) Live in NYC area and always do Boston when they are there. Would seem a shame if Boston, NY or DC area dont get a game b4 WC. Any one heard any rumblings...

I'm sure there will be some send-off games in the East. I had a blast in DC for the Scotland (pre-98 WC) and versus Uruguay last time around.
But, sorry, I've heard no rumblings.

Well, here is another site - http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/index.cfm?section_id=9&screen=news&news_id=48038.
Tenessee and New England. The most obvious site in between is DC. But, the Nationals are in action at RFK. So, Fedex Field might be a possibility.

Cleveland is more likely than DC since we've actually heard something somewhat official out of that camp. My guess is Brazil in Cleveland, Ireland in Foxboro, and Egypt or Romania in Nashville.

The Bruce has said he will never let the national team play at RFK again b/c of the baseball field...anything in the area would be Fed-Ex Field...

I was hoping Philadelphia would get a match (other than the fact that, selfishly, it is within easy driving distance for me, I believe it is the only large city with a suitable venue but w/o a match recently. I remember discussion last year about the England friendly possibly being there, was there a falling out between LFF and USSF afterwards?)
I'm honestly very surprised they are going back to Foxboro, it would be the ninth Nats match there, I think, since KJ 2002.

I heard a rumour that there were discussions for a match in Hartford, but I can't vouch for its credibility.

Wherever they play these games, it will likely be where a proper sized 70+ yard wide field can fit...75 preferably...so FedEx and Giants are prolly out.
