I'm not worried about the World Cup, we will worry about that in the summer, right now he is a Arsenal player and him being out injured is better than him helping Arsenal.

Worrying about Arsenal is one thing, being thankful for injuries to their players is another.

I always find it strange quite how people can hate players in one shirt and love them in another. The only England player I loathe is Judas, and I even want him to play well for England.

The reserves win again against another rival team West Ham, apparantley it was a moment of magic from Johnnie Jackson that won the game in the 79th minute to give us a 1-0 win.

This may as well be a reserve thread.

Stephen Kelly scored another goal to remember as our reserves moved a step closer to the title by beating Portsmouth 2-0 on Monday night.

The full-back smashed home a 35-yarder against Charlton last month but if anything topped that strike with the opener against Pompey at Stevenage. Picking the ball up in his own half, 'Steo' left a couple of midfielders in his wake, played a one-two with Andy Reid, skipped around Guatelli in the Pompey goal and slid home from a tight angle.

Andy Reid got the other goal in the 89th minute

Ghaly played for a hour.

Give Steo a chance, at least till the end of the season. Stalteri is more of a liability than Steo.

Perhaps the rumours about Andy Reid going to a fitness camp is true.

'Stephen Kelly scored another wonder goal at Stevenage last night in a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth which leaves Spurs reserves needing seven more points to clinch the Barclays Reserve League South title.

Irishman Kelly thumped a thirty five yard effort last month against Charlton Athletic and he followed that up with a sparkling solo effort against our South Coast vistors.

Picking the ball up in his half, Kelly left two Pompey players trailing in his wake before playing a one two with the fit again Andy Reid. After recieving the ball from his compatriot 'Steo' rounded the keeper and scored from the tightest of angles. One wonders how Paul Stalteri keeps his place in the first team at right back!

Reid settled matters with a minute left on the clock and it was good to see the left winger, along with Dean Marney and Hossam Ghaly return to the colours after injuries.

Manager Clive Allen was pleased with the clean sheet but felt Tottenham 'made hard work of it' before continuing,' It should have been a better scoreline, but we took the game to them'.

The former England international concluded that 'We are playing with confidence and I am delighted with the result'

The Reserve team have won 12 out of the last 13 games. With title glory on the brink of being attained Allen has every reason to be pleased."

Against Arsenal it sure sounded as if Davenport worked very well as the first touch on our set-pieces. Sounds as if he were a bit of an offensive hub on corners. We know King and Dawsone can help in that area, but it's always nice to have a 3rd central defender who can pose that threat.

Any reports on how Davenport's defending is coming? I feel a bit alone in believing that Davenport actually has the ability to start for us one day, so I'm hoping for some encouraging news, heh. :)

I dont think Davenport has much chance, Ledley is 26 & Dawson is only 22. The only chance is if Ledley leaves. He better not.

Not many central defender pairing go through entire seasons healthy and free of suspensions. Knock on wood. Usually it will work out that more than two would see plenty of playing time.
