I had a few people yesterday asking me about the T-shirts I had mentioned in the forums, so I thought I'd make a posting about it here.
I created a nice graphic of the outline of Sam Houston's statue in Hermann Park with the words "Houston EST. 1836" on it as recognition of the year of the establishment of the city, which was the whole point of the name Houston 1836 in the first place. There are also some shirts with just "1836" on them.
Get the shirts, hats, etc at http://www.cafepress.com/houston1836

It's not official gear and is not official supporters club merchandise. Just something to support the name 1836. I also have it linked in my signature.
If people like it enough, I was thinking about creating shirts with the outline of other Houston icons like the San Jacinto monument and the downtown skyline. Let me know what you think!
PS I never made a direct thread on it since I didn't want it to be construed as spam, so Mods if this isn't kosher, feel free to close this thread.
