Okay, next supporter's group meeting has been set up for this Saturday night, March 4 @ 7:00 PM. We are going to do a little change of venue and try out Griff's for this meeting. I'll get a map up here on this post when I get one from someone.

I'll be coming up with an agenda closer to the end of this week, and will post here when it's done. Remember to bring your $10 cash for dues!

So come one, come all! And remember to try and bring someone new to the meeting!

Yes, bring a friend. Call up some guy or gal you know who has some love for sports or the beautiful game or even better both and be there Sat. Night.

3rd time is the charm folks. Here's to having our Team name and logo locked down when we do the same for our Supporters Group.

I am there. I am worn out from NYC - and still bummed about not getting to pick-a-seat or kick-w-feet, but at least I made a trip around the corner of 53rd and 7th to:

"The Irish Pub"

Saw a sign out front on Monday that said Wed: U.S. v.s Poland 2pm. Made a mental note to come back.

Great place to watch a game.

Murphy's Stout on tap inside (hard to find, but it's just better than Guinness).
4 big TVs:
Croatia vs. Argentina
U.S. vs. Poland
England vs. Uraguay
Ireland vs. Sweden
(think those are right)

Wow. 4 great matches, Argentinians, Anglish, Irish, Croates, and US fans all cheering/yelling at TVs. Mass bedlam. Beer flowed.

Is it big enough to hold a supporters group meeting there?

From FuBoy's description it seems like it could, some members may not be willing to travel that far thogh.

Uh... The Irish Pub might be a bit tight for a supporters meeting - I think it would be elbow to elbow with 50 people... but at least it's set for a standing room only crowd.

However, I'd think I'd rather we donate the plane ticket money to the supporter's group and not have a supporters meeting in Manhattan. :-)

I finally got ahold of Travis and it looks like Saturday is going to be a bit busy. They have a rugby party and a birthday party going on. More people to convert!!!

I thought you made it back and then went to this place, although when I saw the street location, I did find myself wondering where it was located. Well that makes sense. :D

Hey, it's not my fault, Spring Break is just a few hours away and the kids in my classes are surprisingly wild...

Okay those that were at the meeting tonight... any really important decisions made? Any updates on the supporters section: location(s), price, whether it will be general admission, etc.? BTW... I just sent out another email to ticket rep... but I still don't know if I'll need a ticket for my two-year-old to come sit in the supporters section for some (but not all) of the games. Do any of ya'll know the answer to that question off hand?

1. We're Texian Army.

2. The price break is going to be for section 113 only. AEG is going to require 100 people to commit to season tickets there, they will then cut the season ticket price from $440 to $340. I assume this means they'll refund $100 back to your credit card that they charged for the full-price season ticket. No price break on sec. 213. No idea what the deal is on kids.

No price break on sec. 213.

Yes, but hopefully we won't need section 213. The point of the price break is to get everyone in section 113, as it's only $40 more than the 200 section but we'll be on field level.

Holy cow, put me in 113, then. Can't pass that deal up! Lessee, I made my reservation for tix only 3 weeks ago, so by the time my name comes up on the list, we should have a pretty good idea if 113 is filling up or not, I would think...

I was told I can bring my 2-year-old for free - assuming he sits on my lap, which, in retrospect, will be a physical impossibility, what with all of us *STANDING* the whole game!!! :D

Any idea when the next meeting is going to be? I didn't hear about it until Saturday morning over at Richmond Arms for the Liverpool/Charlton game. Would love to get involved....I'm guessing you guys are planning to get together again before April 2nd. I've got some folks that would be VERY interested in getting involved in this....I know y'all will keep everyone posted, but would love to know if/when you guys are planning the next meeting.

Thanks.

I think the 18th was mentioned for the next meeting, when it's official there should be a thread started about it.
