Yes, I did just make a topic about shaving.
Question for you guys (and some ladies..... :p )
Do you use the good old razor, and if so which kind and what lather, or the electric, and which kind, etc..

Both...
the Mach3
Its great a combination of both. Its really manual though.
I'm going to go electric sooner or later, but I haven't felt the need to yet.

Most days I use an electric, a Braun 5614, especially when I have two or fewer days of growth on my beard. Any longer than that, and its best to use a manual. I've got a Mach3 and Gillette shave gel for that... haven't tried that new Fusion one yet.
One of these days I'll have to pick up some of that fancy shaving oil. I hear that stuff lets you shave ridiculously close.

I use electric, but am thinking about switching over to manual. (at least for my trip this summer because of the fact that it will eventually run out of charge)
Johno: what would make you want to change as you say? to electric that is.

On behalf of any woman that might kiss you, I ask that you please use a manual razor. Thank you. :)

I use nothing but a manual razor, a Schick Quattro to be exact.
Usually try to shave two to three times a week, unless I let it grow out a bit.

Manual for me, I'm still using the original Mach 3 (with gillete shaving gel). It's not like I shave very often anyway, (once every 5 days or so), but when I do I like to get a really smooth, close finish and I've yet to try an electric shaver that produces results that are as good.
For some reason I also get a bit of a rash on my neck whenevr I've tried an electric. :(

Tried electric for a week, did not like it at all, so now back to manual - at the moment using gillette sensor 3. Shave about 3 times/weeks usually after work so most of the time I have the Matthew Fox-type shadow on me.

With most electrics, you sort of have to get used to it and the way it works if you're used to a manual. I actually started with an electric back when I was like 16 or something, so that just tends to be a little easier for me to use.
I actually prefer an electric when I'm on vacation, as long as I take a power converter (which I generally need anyways). Actually many hotel rooms even have at least one US/UK/Europe combo plug in the bathroom just for shavers. Just reduces the chance that some overzealous airport security agent will want to rummage through my toiletries bag for my manual blade.

I've got a Braun 7570, the one with that handy-dandy self cleaner thingie. It works pretty well and I'm happy with it. Since I was laid off, I didn't bother shaving every day, and it felt great! Guess I'll have to start getting back into that soon. :)
I always follow up a shave with Nivea for Men Face Lotion and Revitalizing Eye Cream. A few years ago I woulda laughed at myself for doing this, but as you get older you realize that you need to start taking care of yourself. Stuff works great!

Electric is for puffters. :p
Nah really, I actually started out with a Phillips electric but one time I was on vacation in Spain and I didnt have the adapter. So I got a razor and havent switched back since. I use the Gillette Mach 3.
BTW roll-on or spray for deodorant/anti-persirant?

Manual (Sensor) and roll-on. While we're at it, no hair product.

I don't shave, but when I'm forced too it's with a Mach 3 and Nivea senstive shaving foam.
I use Sure for men Sport Blast spray.
EDIT: I use V05 messed up wax stuff after showering and for 2 days every morning after that to keep my hair inline.

roll-on anti-perspirant with Dioderant. But I'm going to switch to straight deo because I read something that the aluminum based anti-perspirants may lead to Old tymers.. but then again.
edit: trying to find a good gel, got a Dep sport right now, but it doesnt have enough hold while wet for me to shape properly. (sounds like woman talk, sorry..:( :o

I'd laugh too, but my facial scrub, Purpose soap, and aloe vera lotion prevent me from doing so... :o
At least it keeps the breakouts (mostly) under control...

I haven't noticed too much difference between different brands or even "strengths" of gel... tbh I've bought the same brand for the past few months but couldn't even tell you who made it... I just recognize the bottle at the store and pick it up.

Trying to find something that doesnt seem like water when you put it in, like it has some substance with wet hair, but doesnt dry like the Mohave after an hour.
