So... has anyone tried out that new Gillette Fusion yet? Or are you all worried like I am about accidentally shaving off my nose?

5 blades is a little extreme for me, I am perfectly happy with 3.

But relaly, the fifth blade on the fusion is supposedly a blade on the back that you turn the razor around and use for precision trimming..

I got a free one in the mail for my 18th birthday (weird) and I gave it a test run, wasn't too impressed. My electric does the same job so I'm not gonna recommend it.

Second day with the Gillete Good News! Disposables.. and this sucks. I don't get a close shave at all and cut myself at least 6 times tonight when I have interviews tomorow. I don't know why its not cutting short, its like an 11 oclock shadow right now...

The thing about the Fusion is, I shaved with it last night, and by this morning my beard had already grown back and then some. It takes a week plus to do this with my electric Norelco. I'm stumped.

I'm sure no one will relate, but I use a Venus razor and moisturizing soap to shave my legs. Although, let's get honest, it's winter (pants-season) and my husband lives 3000 miles away. So, you can guess how often I shave the legs. :)
I use "invisible dry" stick anti-perspirant of variable brand. I use a bunch of junk on my face: Dermalogica face gel (one for every day and one for when I'm in danger of breaking out), Dermalogica exfoliant mask, Neutrogena anti-acne mask, generic astringent, St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Dermalogica toner, Loreal Futur-E lotion, Loreal age perfert eye cream, etc etc. Look at all I do to stay pretty. :p
Question: What's with the "manual" men's razors with batteries in them?? That just confuses me. Anyone want to explain?

St. Ives Apricot Scrub
That's the one I use!

*looks around awkwardly*Actually, an old boyfriend of mine used it, and that's how I started on it. So, I think you're safe.
Also, I recommend the dermalogica stuff. It's a little pricy, and I think only available at salons or online, but it's really good, especially if you have oily skin or acne. My skin has the most delicate balance, it's either really oily or really dry if I don't use the right combination of products, and the dermalogica stuff is good for the oily part. And I think it's not too girly either (although, if you start using Loreal, you might be pushing it). :)

Oh ok, in that case that shit is the bomb, yo. :p
Yeah for now I feel like I'm spending enough on my face alone. Those people make a killing off of that stuff.

I don't mind spending on soap or lotion for my face though -- and if you hadn't picked up on how cheap I am, I'll tell you proudly, I am. However, I really had bad skin when I was a kid, and it's been great for years and years now (probably due to age mostly), but I'm willing to shell out for the good stuff.

St. Ives advanced therapy lotion is a beautiful thing. I've got one at work and at home, using it daily, and it's really, really good. As far as razors - I used to cut myself pretty reguraly when I started shaving, but eventually learned the trick and almost never cut myself. Still buying disposable razors from time to time, never really had any issues with it. Especially with Barbasol.

I have a question: What's the deal with the suggestively shaped handle of the Venus razor?

I have a question: What's the deal with the suggestively shaped handle of the Venus razor?First, I think its to scare off husbands and boyfriends that would otherwise steal it behind our backs and wear out the blade, causing us to painfully nick our ankle, again. Second, it's easy to hold on to during all the acrobatics it takes to shave half our body hair off in under 5 minutes every 2 days. It's purely for utility, I'm sure.
