When some of us were at the stadium today, one of the MLS reps told us that there are 2-3 other fan/supporter groups for the 1836. Anyone know who they are? and do you think it would be a good idea to unite?

Just a thought...

We have 5 seperate "official" supporters clubs in DC. Just contact the club and announce that you want to be an independent group. It shouldn't be that big of a deal. Especially in the first year the club is operating there.

I haven't heard of any other groups, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. I'd like us to be united as one whole group and then maybe break off into separate groups that sit in different spots. But we will all have one idea in mind, and that's the supporting of this team we love.

I have not heard a thing from Oliver regarding other Supporter Groups.

I heard the guy say that as well but he didn't really have any information about who they were or anything.

Just a friendly heads-up - for however many more days they're Houston 1836, they are never, ever "the 1836." Don't be like Bob Allen!

Someone please tell Oliver and the guys that ANY supporters clubs that begin popping up should know each other so we can ALL be singing the same songs.
I dont want to be like the Galaxy Fans all singing different songs.THAT is how we will create an awesome atmoshphere.
I dont care if we have to print up song sheets to begin with and pass them out at every game, I'll do it myself if I have to, but we need a unified voice for our players and team. You dont hear any powerhouse clubs in the world that have separate singing going on unless it is opposition singing and we shouldnt have that problem.:D

Oh, my Gosh...I got slammed!

Actually, I meant Houston 1836...sorry for the faux pas.

Think we should unite all the groups...so we have more of a presence.

That's because you were in the midst of being worried about being called the "Gatos". :)

Heh. Reminds me of the times my hometown of Highlands was referred to as "The Highlands" on the news. It even happened on some new street signs once. They were changed out thankfully. We're just not as pretentious as that other town. :)

Don't be like Bob Allen!

I think that is a good rule of thumb in general . . . :D
