"Under anti-hooliganism laws, it is also a criminal offence for anyone in the United Kingdom, other than official bodies, to offer to sell tickets for England games."

Is it legal to scalp tickets in Germany? I know that it is legal in many US States, but was not sure about Germany. Thanks.

We bought a complete family package of "Follow Team USA" tickets through Soccertravel.com. We got tickets to all three US games. We didn't need flights or hotel, but we had to purchase the 4-day German rail pass (since they specialize in travel packages). We paid a lot more than if we got the tickets through USSF or FIFA, but we completely gave up hope on those! Are we insane to have purchased through this agency? We know a guy that used him a few times to travel to England for EPL games. He gave him a thumbs up. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance.

You're fine. Soccertravel is a USSF sanctioned seller of tickets. The markup is for the accomodations. That is part of their deal with USSF, they can't sell the tickets by themselves. Also, Antonio Paz is a great guy. I once tried to buy tix for a Real match through him and he advised me of a much cheaper route.

Interesting...when I contacted soccertravel.com about tickets, they said they weren't selling any packages w/o flight or hotel.

That's what he told us originally, but then he said they had to at least sell us the rail passes with the package. The passes are a little more than if you went through Eurail, but it's worth it cuz we're getting all 3 games. Trust me.....he's making a ton of money on the game tickets! We paid 3x the amount we would've through USSF.

I do agree, though....Antonio Paz is a real nice guy to deal with. He was very patient with me and returned my calls promptly. I thought he was gonna give up on me for a bit there! I'd give it a shot again & ask for some rail passes!

Yeah he is - I asked him about the Old Firm and he said my best bet was to just try and get a ticket outside the stadium. Luckily I got a hospitality ticket through Celtic because there were at least 10 guys with no less than 100 pounds offering for tickets outside Ibrox 2 weeks ago.

I think once you have the tickets in your hand you will be ok.

What a bummer that he's sold out! I must've gotten lucky, because I was toying with the idea for a few days & finally got my order in a couple weeks ago. It was a huge decision that was stressing me out!

Don't give up!
