It is not directly related to futbol Brian but UNAM and the City Colleges of Chicago just concluded an agreement to offer satellite broadcasts and credit for a few classes for students of their respective schools on site. Little Village campus in Chicago will start it off.
I do not support the Pumas. I am a Chivas fan.

I will try to sporadically post news from Pumas.

Went by La Cantera (one of Pumas training grounds) to pick up my season tockets. The facilities are awesome! This is an old stone quarry that was transofrmed into ecologically sound facilities. I saw the team practicing. They looked very good. I am quite hopeful for this season.

There are several new players that I think will make some noise.

Horacio Cervantes (last season on loan to Morelia)
Joaquin Beltran - He is back
Paco Fonseca (A forward that comes from Queretaro)
Rafa Marquez (he looked sharp, this is the season he must transform himself from a promise to a top notch player)
And hopefully the two new Uruguayans will be good: Martin Garcia and Alvaro Gonzalez

ALSO, there is a 17 yr old kid (forward) already training with the first team. Rumor has it that he may play this tournament. It has been a while since Pumas brought somebody so young. His name: Eduardo Oetling.

I was moving from USA back to Mexico

Pumas split with nike because they did not comply with some contractual agreements, what were the specifics, I do not know. Anyway I like the Lotto gear much more (although it has more advertisements on it; they are adding Pepsi and possibly Tel Cel as sponsors). Tomorrow is the official presentation of the new gear. You will find it on the web.

I'm watching Necaxa vs Tecos, and they're sporting the orange kit. This is the first time I ever seen this one. One of the better looking kits in the entire league.

I would like to retract my statement, and reissue a new statement. The pumas kits are ugly, its actually very disappointing at how ugly they are.
