Its a good thing they faced this SA opposition because Paraguay is a much better squad and will not sho any mistake against a team like England. Is this the mythical Paraguay which drew with Wales?

No you said Uraguay controlled the game when they had a third of the posession and the only really threatened the goal once.

I think Uruguay has one of the best Team in the World. Its a matter of getting it together and really performing to their capabilities. personally I think Urugauy got screwed in Qualifying. They player 18 games and than flew half way around the world in a matter of A day. That has to take its toll. Paraguay is definitely solid in Defense. This Paraguayan team is better than the 1998 squad that took France to overtime..

If yesterdays game was anything to by (not saying it was) I'm not surprised they didn't qualify. Struggled to get the ball ( seemed to defend very deep), aside from an absoloute wonder-strike never came close too scoring and seemed short on pace everywhere.

uruguays goal wasnt even a half chance .more like a quarter chance .
thats all they had the whole game .
guess they came to defend and be awkward.

Keep in mind that they didnt play with many of their starters..and judging by the way England played against them yesterday..i was very surprised that they managed to qualify.

the English squad did not impress yesterday one bit. Uruguay had control of the match the entire time and England looked confused in the back. Its a good thing they faced this SA opposition because Paraguay is a much better squad and will not sho any mistake against a team like England.

What?

You do realise that Uruguay were playing in the light-blue right?

They couldn't get out of their half for the second half, in fact for even most of the match and had to rely on pithy counter-attacks for 90 mins. They invited a barrage of pressure and neither the two centre-backs were ever in danger of the Uruguayan front-men.

Paraguay are ********ing shite.

0-0 against Wales.

You've got to be kidding me...
