I'm surprised there isn't a thread... what did everyone think about what happened?

The champion is already dead (will become a bot soon)!

Meh. It's his team, he made his choice, took a risk and won. I don't understand why people think it was cheating. Lots of teams get run into the ground without having anything to show for it, this guy gets to be world champ.

Whatever, his choice, not a big fan of the buying divine players, but if results are that important in a game, go for it.

Wasn't a big fan of the HTM in the first place, didn't hold that huge appeal to me. Maybe if I actually play in it one day it will be different until then I'm just like fox point said, meh.

Seeing as how he has about 9-10 NT players on his squad, you can bet those guys will get released on the TL before the team gets reset.

I would hope so!

Also, to each his own and everything---but there should be a rule against self-destructing like that. Look how many teams will lose future revenue because of his decision.

Also what is the experience factor for HTM. Is it more than NT games?

I thought HTM was great. The champion was no doubt able to go out on top of the world after risking everything. I guess it's his reward for years of logging on and playing matches.

As for the format, I didn't like the one intensive week of action and a break from the domestic cups. If anything, I wish it could have been something like the UEFA Cup or Champions League format where a game is played about once every other week since there are only about 6 rounds total. This edition of the HTM just seemed to blow by and in my opinion, that just took away from the anticipation of each match and the Cinderella teams.

Agreed 100%.
