I'm bored ... so ... some rep to the person who can answer this question first.
There have been five playoff-clinching goals scored in the history of the Revs. Name the players who scored 'em and the year.
And here's hoping I actually do have the right answer! :)

Oh oh oh ... I got it .... raises hand ....
Carlos Ruiz 2003 and Pando Ramirez 2005
They clinched Revolution Playoff games!
Maybe you should word it differently. Wait, I'll figure out the other playoff losses later.

Monty, I can think of 6 series wins - two in '02, one in '03 and '04, and two in '05. Granted, I can only think of the goalscorer for the final goal of the last two, but I know we had to win all those series to get to where we went.
What was it, Chicago, then Columbus to get to LA in '02? We beat DC to get to Chicago in '03, if I remember right, then Columbus to get to DC in '04, and this past year, New York and Chicago to get to LA again? (Someone factcheck me, I'm still at work.)

Okay, Dan may be right.
Playoff clinching meaning that those particular goals officially got us into the playoffs...

i believe steve ralston had a penalty kick that was caused by chris bagley being taken down in the box that put us in the playoffs one year.

matt That's right, I think that was 2003. '04 was another Ralston goal, but it was that beauty of a chip in the final game of the season against Chicago. '98 was a Paul Keegan heart-stopper in the 90th against Dallas, if I remember the minute right. '02 and '05 I don't know off-hand. I would bet Twellman got the '02 one, with the percentage of goals that he scored, and this year, we clinched it so early, it never occurred to me to remember it, but I'll take a shot in the dark, without looking at the schedule - Shalrie Joseph.
And Ed, I've been a diehard since before Jim could drink, if that gives you any indication. ;) I didn't look any of it up, Scout's Honor.

Statistically speaking, who is the best Revolution goalkeeper of all time?

Shalrie Joseph. Was not scored upon.
You could argue Joe-Max Moore, too, since he only allowed his goal in a shootout.

Ha. Almost forgot about that one.
Is it Jeff Causey?
I have a feeling its not one of the obvious candidates (Not Zenga, Adin, or Reis) so I'm going with Causey.

Let's see if I am right
1997-Swatsky
2000-No-one, got in because Chicago beat C-Bus, while Revs lost 1-nil to KC, so the Chicago game winner was by Razov. The last goal the Revs scored before they Clinched was against DC on 8/30 by Jose Luis Morles.
2002- Twellman
2003 and 2004 Ralston
2005 James Riley

Here are the playoff series winners, I think
2002 Kamler vs Chicago
Harris vs C-Bus
2003 Noonan vs Metros
2004 Twellman vs C-Bus
2005 Smith vs Metros
Dempsey vs Chicago
