We had Dish Network for 4 years and they got into some sort of dispute with the Outdoor Life Network (they carry all the bike races) and since my husband is a cyclist and the race season has started, we decided to make the change. Plus get extra receiver AND DVR for less than we pay for Dish each month!

Oh RIGHT..no OLN. That's why I've seen only about three NHL games all year. I used to watch Barry and John on NHL2Night every night...now, nothing. Forgot about that. Didn't know abou the xtra receiver and DVR. I really want a DVR myself....hmmmmmmmmm

I couldn't feel my fingertips this morning when I woke up!! I took a hard spill at training last night...we play in a gym that has a wierd plastic floor and its deadly slippery if it gets wet...landed right on my elbow. Kind of freaked me out.

So what kind of package/deal you getting, Steph? Wonder if I can get the same in Hall Co?

Hey, at least Gainesville is big into soccer, and not just from all the latino's in the poultry plants either. Pair of soccer shops and I'm told it's not uncommon to see pub gatherings for big matches. Methinks we might be planting roots. :D

Hold off on the switch, as Comcast just made a deal with Tivo. I think all of the Comcast DVRs will be Tivo by the end of this year. Apparently, they're vastly superior to the current DVRs on offer by Comcast. However, the side effect of this is that DirecTV will no longer be doing business with Tivo.

That's weird, the fingertips part. Course, it also means you could grab those sweet rolls out of the oven without a mit! :p

No, seriously, go get us some rolls! :D

Well, just get this all sorted out by June, will ya?

I'm paying $50 per for basic right now. ESPN 1 & 2, Fox sports and Comcast Sports South. I've tracked our bills since 96 when we paid $27 per for almost the same volume of channels, and I loathe the idea of ramping up for a ton o crap I don't need. (That means you, MTV!) So what's the best deal going for about $75 or less?

Now, what's worse; death threats on a message board, or attacking an ambulance carrying a rival team's player to hospital, but not before hurling human fecal matter at rival supporters? (http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,1715810,00.html)

Sorry about your elbow. I took quite a hit on Tuesday at my match and was barely able to walk on Wednesday.......

Reminds me of the story of Scotland fans watching their team play Italy in Rome in a WC qualifier in 2001 where ultras puked on the Scotland fans on the tier below. Nasty bastards.

Michael, the owner of the Brewhouse, just opened a bar up near the lake....I'm not sure exactly where...but you can bet he'll be showing footie there. I'll ask him next time I see him.

Please do, and pass it along. I'll do my best to start the north Atlanta Gooners club! Thanks, Yoss! :)

- Thanks for the grub, TG! Man I love those things. Deadly for my cholesterol, but soooooo tasty! *wipes drool* BTW, seriously sorry about the wounds. Course, an old coach would say "It's still attached! Suck it up, you wimp!" :D

- Truly some classless acts going around. I know of some heinous stuff surrounding college sports fans, but those "professional hooligans" do take the cake. As much as I want to smite someone, I don't imagine I could ever take the time to collect FECAL MATTER for tossing, or try to make myself sick for the sake of puking on someone!! Such losers should be forced to clean up their messes...

...with their tongues. ;)
