France has one of the best youth soccer programs in the world. Huge investments were made in the mid 80's, while the rest of Europe was laughing at France. These investments yielded massive success in player formation and development. Look at the best players in Europe right now and where they have been formed?
Nantes, Auxurre, Cannes, Bordeaux, and now Lyon have class acadamies.

GO FOR TUNA!
and the absolute coolest kits in the galaxy!
in france, the best clubs for youth programmes are OL, auxerre and nantes. i've seen teams of all ages from these clubs and right down to 7-year-olds: organization, discipline and great play.
what i've seen of the OM youngsters wasn't impressive: i'd say the best youth club in marseilles is plan de cuques.
plus, these are great places to live. and in lyon there are three other clubs that really teach kids and have top-level amateur teams : AS Minguettes, UGA Décines and Lyon-Duchère.
here's the page about OL tryouts. they're for kids from from 7 to 11, but the e-mail for the academy is there ol-amateur@olympiquelyonnais.com
good luck!

Nancy's youth system has contributed to almost all of their current starters. Their facilities are improving, and they try to bring the majority of their players through the Youth system. www.asnl.net

Lens' youth system in its current form is relatively new but has top quality facilities and the fruits are starting to be born. In yesterday's UEFA Cup match there were 7 players from the youth system involved and recently the club just signed five of their young players to professional contracts.
I have a friend who works for the club so that might be a contact for you. PM me if you're interested.
