Nice game... I predict a 0-0, Saprissa will use a B+ team, Celso borgues might be starting his first official game.... Good luck CELSO!

I'll be at the Home Depot Center, MoRado, and I expect a good game.
With Landon Donovan in game shape (because of the USMNT camp) & playing well, I truly believe the Galaxy are READY for Saprissa.
From what I've read, the Galaxy are treating this game VERY seriously (as they should) & I think (HOPE) it will translate into their play on the field!!
I would LOVE to take a 2-goal lead to San Jose but I'll "settle" for a victory!!
Pick: a Galaxy win...no matter the score!!

I called 1-1 in the prediction thread but I've changed my mind to 2-1 Galaxy. I still think Saprissa will edge it out at home.

Landon cant do it on his own.
This team got their asses handed to them against South Korea and have been getting worked by Chivas USA in friendlies...sorry but LA is in big trouble tonight if they dont pick up their game.

Obviously, Landon can't do it on his own, despite how good he is and it will be tough because it's our preseason.
All I'm saying is that L.A. needs Landon to be in TOP FORM & his confidence can rub off on his teammates. From all reports, the Galaxy are SERIOUS about this game & tournament, so I HOPE the effort is there tonight!!
You are right, though. We need a TEAM effort, not just Landon!!

Our defense will hold up against "the bala" and our midflield is only questionable area. However Landon and Herc will cause damage to a vulnurable Saprissa team that is missing two regular starters.
The Korea debacle was a good heads up and we will be ready.

Is there a big Saprissa fan base in Southern Cali?

From the starting 11 all through the CRL only 2 players are starting on this match. Might be intresting to see what the team can do against LA. I feel Medford is rotating players on the wrong tournament. Rather draw in CR with Alajuela next Sunday than having to get back 2 goals against LA. Looks like it is going to be a good game.

no way... we can't lose next sunday's game vs Alajuela, un clasico es un clasico, Medford has always used a B+ team in Concacaf, at least on the early rounds... guys like Saul Phillips #15, Pablo Brenes #9, Allan Aleman #30 and Gerald Drummond #26 are witing for this game to show up.... I wish the best for them... i wanted to see CELSO BORGES #20 in the starting lineup, Guima's son!

Don't worry about Gomez he is in costa Rica with his family....
saprissa IS NOT missing 2 starters, it IS using 2 regular starters
Saprissa will be vulnerable in our left side defence, as always, Josepablo fonseca sux.
We will also have a scoring lack in our attack since Gomez is not playing and Sabo will be in the bench.... Good luck allan and gerald!

I Strongly go with Christian comment about "el classico",Look at Nahum Espinoza he did the fatal mistake of using a Olimpia's B-team against Toluca. He benched our starting goalkeeper and our starting midfielders.

I know el clasico es el clasico, which I wil attend, but I´d rather see Saprissa earn another $1M and see them play Barcelona!!! in the next CWC.
We can beat la Liga every year at least twice a year, once every who knows we will see Saprissa in CWC.
