You said it carnal, i had been expecting it since UNAM tied the match. I dont think they did a good job of keeping possesion and wasting time. All those long balls to nowhere. Overall good game and great goal by Leandro.

Damn that sucked :( , Pumas played an awsome game and deserved at least a tie. I honestly thought Gremio was going to rip apart Hugo's boys based on recent performances... I'm glad I was wrong. If UNAM keeps this level of play they will make it to the second round.

Goya!

Can't believe no one has posted about the Cruz Azul-Corinthians game. Corinthians won 1-0.

Azul had most of the possesion and control of the game but it was disgusting their performance. Carrillo has made a team that looks as boring and tired as his old Puebla. It had no passion and no desire. The game was ripe for a tie or a kill but they never turn on and had no ideas for attacking. Palencia is at a low point right now. Super slow. He looks as if he had gone to play in Universidad Catolica and not Espanyol. Pinheiro was awful. I don't care if he wraps a mexican flag and jumps from el castillo de chapultepec, he should NOT get a cap for the Tri. He has shown for a while not to be the one from the Libertadores of 2001. Azul should go thru to the next round but if they don't get some offensive idea and some heart and hustle, they will fail and the first tough team they face.

Cruz Azul is tied 1-1 at halftime. I think this is awful. This team is just plain crap and either Carillo or the players should go because so far they have no intensity at all. Thus Strongest tied.

All Azul did is send longballs to Abreu all first half long. Palencia and the rest are invisible. Hopefully it will change but this is still poor and if they don't come away with 3points, it should be rock bottom.

They sure did make a strong effort the last 25 minutes, both teams.Desmond the guy who plays on Strongest is very inmpressive. Paco Palencia came back in the 2nd half and played very strong. Nice effort on Cruz Azul part, except for the last defensive breakdown that caused the last goal.

Cruz Azul gana 3-2 pidiendo la hora.

Azul finally played for at least 15 minutes and went up 3-1 but in the final minutes, Strongest scored after another mistake from the defense. Palencia finally gave it his all and it changed the team but they still suck big time. And I really think this is worryng. The Strongest is crap. Cruz Azul should have no trouble with this team. They should go thru with teams like Fenix and The Strongest, but this team will fall against its first rival unless it changes. No way can this team face their big rivals. Everyone was on Hugo Sanchez and Pumas, TV Azteca saying that Carrillo was with another team and that is why they suck in the Mexican league, but Pumas at least is doing well in Libertadores. They almost got a point againts Gremio, who is a big candidate, and beat Bolivar comfortably, which is a good team and a lot beter than Strongest. Meanwhile Azul is scraping ties in the MFL, and in the libertadores, they did crap with the worst Corinthians team ever and just scraped a victory off a crap Bolivian team.

Carrillo better get his act together because this team looks far from his America team and more like Enrique Meza's Mexico.
