This is a trend we have to break. We need these three points.

Bielefeld Means Mileage Money; But The Points Usually Stay At The "Alm" (http://www.borussia-dortmund.com/?%E7%86%9C%2Ah%97%84%EC%5Do%E0%87%99)

Ugh, sadly history points to this being a tough match. Well screw that, this is a new team.

It's always been hard for us in Bielefeld. I don't expect anything less this time.

New team with the same old major problem. Lack of killer instinct. I think we'll win, but we won't let it be easy.

Hopefully Bert said to the team that if they get anything less then 3 points, he'll blow up their cars.

Bielefeld is always tough at the Alm...I don't expect it to be any different for you guys.

Anyone who thinks it will be easy hasn't been a BVB fan very long.........

Hell, I haven't been a fan that long and I still don't think it'll be easy. Hopefully the trend of this team though to expect the unexpected might be a good thing.

Just trying to be optimistic about this one I guess. :)

I didn't say it was...if you're confused about what I said.

Didn't say you said it. Trust me, if that's what I wanted to say, I would have just said it.

What I wanted to get across is that you'll have people who claim to be BVB fans who just look at Bielefeld's place in the standings and think we'll just waltz in there and take the points.

Bielefeld always gives us hell at their place. S#it, most times they give us hell at home too.

BVB's players will have to be ready to come to fight. The problem is, these are the matches the team tends to lose.

I hate to say so directly, but I will. Our team has no heart or guts. Hasn't had heart or guts for a long time.

That's why we always have trouble with "inferior", but battling teams......

*Bielefeld 1:0 Dortmund*

Fulltime.

New year, same sh*t. A few steps forward, a few steps back again. Amoah's fitness cannot come quick enough.

There's no guarantee that Amoah is the answer.......... :(

East Westphalia battles down Dortmund
The misery goes on as it seems. While Borussia Dortmund started with a good run after the winter break, it becomes obvious that at the moment they have a severe problem in attack. Though the defence allowed only one goal, the offence was more or less not existing – Arminia Bielefeld won 1-0.

If the game against Bremen didn't convince us that the attack is lacking (which I doubt any of us had any doubts to that fact) this loss solidifies the assumption. We have nice 2nd options in attack, but we have no front-line striker/winger to seal the deal. Rosicky leaving will further expose this lack of attacking power. Killer instinct? Sure that's definitely needed, but we have to get ahead before we kill a game off. The guys that are being thrown out there are young, so they can't be thrown on the trash heap, but someone with decent to exceptional finishing or a final pass is definitely needed. Rosicky, Kehl, Sahin/Kruska can only do so much if the front line can't do anything with the service.

Frustrating once again, but hopefully these losses are doing something in maturing the young'un's, if nothing else....

Will Amoah or even Pienaar be the answer. I sure hope so, but for now, they are unknowns and can't be counted on to save our most recent poor run of form.

Dude, "Killer Instinct" isn't "killing a game off". "Killer Instinct" is going out and destroying your opponent. Putting the match out of reach. Taking the game away from them no matter how hard they fight. It's what champions do.

Even if your opponents fight back, you impose your will on them. It's otherwise known as "championship mentality". BVB does not possess this quality.

And besides, I don't think Rosicky's departure will have have the devastating effect some of you think it will have. Hell, I'm starting to look forward to what Pienaar can do. He seems to be more dangerous in a goal-scoring manner than Rosicky is. But I guess we'll see that next season.

Dude, we've been losing matches like this for three years now. How long does "maturity" take??

Especially not Pienaar as he doesn't join the club before next season. Amoah is the hope, but if he fails, unless Buckley starts to find the net or Smolarek finds that four leaf clover he obviously misplaced, we are f&cked. No other way to put it.

We will simply be f&cked.........
