TnT, Noonan and Dempsey called up for the Poland match on 1 March.
Suspect Ralston would have as well if he was healthy.

Good news for Noonan. That squad will have a lot of euro-based players so it shows he still has a legitimate shot.

I have think this is a narrowing down call up, i think most of the guys not getting a call up here are on the outside looking in. That includes Ralston. Ironically I think it may be Dempsey play an RM that maybe pushing him out.

I agree. Note that Mastro was called up. Either Stevie's hurt much worse than we know or some narrowing down has happened.

This is definitely a narrowing down. He wants to season his players by playing in Germany so it isn't a new deal for them come June. Hopefully they'll be a little less awe-struck. I'd say if you're in the MLS and you didn't get called...your chances are slim to nil. If you did get called and don't look caught in the headlights against a good team in Europe, you're probably as good as gold. There are probably a few choices on the roster who won't make the final roster and this is probably more of a "test" for them. Noonan could be one of these.

As for Ralston, he's not playing with the Revs, so he's obviously still hurt. Not calling him was a no-brainer. I don't think you can read anything into that at all, though if he doesn't rehab quickly his window will shut.

Agreed. He's simply not ready to play and so isn't an option to call in. It's the same reason Reyna and JOB are not on the roster either. Of course those 2 are locks if healthy while Ralston would still be a question mark. But no way does this mean he's out of the running.

While I'm inclined to believe that this is a preview of the WC roster, there is another explanation for some of the choices. If LA and/or the Revs get through the CCC quarters, their players are unlikely to be available for the Germany game later in March. It isn't beyond a reasonable doubt that Bruce wanted to be sure to get a look at the Revs in Europe and took all three (Ralston not available) now in case they can't make the later game.

Good point...I hadn't thought of that.
