There are only 107 days left until the world cup starts and therefore I`d like to know your opinion:

Who should be Germany`s next Topmodel, ähem..., number one goalkeeper at the world cup? Mad Jens? King Kahn? Or someone else? Enke? Hildebrand? Weidenfeller?

Vote or dice.

I prefer KAHN, definitely!!!

he has more experiences and players have more respect for him.
He also understand good with Bayern Players, he fits better to german national team. Kahn is better for penalty shoots. Kahn should be our first
goalman. I like him, he is like tiger. Players know him better especially Ballack
and Co from Bayern Munich.

Just my opinion

For the World Cup its gotta be Kahn, I'd never pick anyone over him for this world cup. He'll be ready and at his best. Guarenteed.

It'll be a close one I think.

Lehmann again put in a great performance vs Real yesterday. He's been in sparkling form of late. Plus, when he backstopped us against France, our defensive 4 played better than it had in a very long time.

I wouldn't hesitate making Jens the #1 for the WC.

Post WC, I'd like to see Weidenfeller as our number 1.

I agree with a young keeper post WC, but i wouldnt mind seeing Hildebrand given a chance either

Oliver Punt best be starting the World Cup. Even though he couldnt have stopped any more today, I still want to see Kahn starting.

Not that I'm bias or anything:o . But, i think Mad Jens should get the call. Even if its just on league form. He's playing with a back for with the average age of about 23, and yet he's let more goals that only Chelsea (who have arguably the best keeper in the world), and Liverpool(one of the tightest defencive midfield games in EU). Not to mention his Champion's league form which has been better than Kahn's, even with Bayern's superior back 4. Finally I think Jens would be a better keeper b/c he's played on a team that excells in getting the best out of every player on the field, be they young, or lacking. Having a keep thats confident enough to run out 18 yards when your defence makes a huge blunder. I think that will give Jens the edge having a confident keeper behind you has a calming effect. Be thankful you have 2 great keepers to choose from. France on the other hand have one senior whos ready and about 6 kids.

Lehmann is very good, but Kahn is better at this point. Germany is lucky to have two excellent "high calibre" Goalkeepers.

I'm glad Jens is doing so well but he is just very unlucky to have an in form Kahn next to him. The goals Bayern have conceded this season are NOT Oliver's fault, same can be said about Arsenal so that goals allowed ratio can't really be brought up here.

The thing that is working against Lehmann is his ...well how can I put this....whackiness? He is waaaaaaaaaaaay out there, demanding to wear the number 9 jersey just so he can feel like he belongs in the first team is a bit ridiculous. So is threatening to quit the team if he is not number 1 by this summers finals.

Good thing he's hot with Arsenal, because if he wasn't, he'd be out on his ass a while ago.

He's one game short of record clean sheets in a row. An amazing save to keep Raul out as well. Kahn on the otherhand inspired AC Milan to 3 more goals...National teams are built on players in form at the moment, Jens without a doubt is in much better form the Kahn at the moment. This might change esspecially with Arsenal.

Lehmann has been in amazing form of late. Have you seen some of the saves he's been making? That one the other night where he raced back to the goal and got his fingertips on it was incredible. His athleticism is incredible for a 36 year old. I'd go with Lehmann.

I would prefer Lehmann, he's having a great season.
Kahn lost his mojo, it's time 4 him to consider retirement.

I call for Lehmann to be the EPL player of the year (http://football.guardian.co.uk/Columnists/Column/0,,1729202,00.html)

They should change during the tournament, for offensive play Lehmann, for defensive Kahn.

Lehmann is inside the best for an offensive team, Kahn is the best when they must play defensive.

But I`ve my problems that the defense learn that, Klinsman do all that they understand. But I think this team and the "Press" don`t.

Lehmann blew a save against liverpool that if it wasnt for Steven Gerrard they would have dropped points.

Lehmann is slightly better this season but I don't like him at all so. Go, Olli, go!

The only answer to that question is Enke (even though his last performances weren't that great).

The answer has to be Lehmann and i'm baffled people are still discussing this. This is not because of the 4:1 vs the USA yesterday, but both players' performance over the last couple monthes.

Lehmann is the only world class goalie Germany has at the moment, he fits Klinsmann's system way better and is in the form of his life. Kahn is...visibly aging. Still an excellent keeper, but why take an excellent one, if you can have better ?

I sorta hope Olli retires soon, he won't do himself a favour playing until he's 40. Also Rensing needs competitive match practice, so we don't have to go through all this crap once more come 2010.
