You seriously have no idea what you are talking about.

Jens was the one of the biggest factors in why Arsenal advanced past Real.

At Bernabeu he made a string of fantastic saves. On the goalline, 1-on-1, corner kicks....everything. Without him Arsenal wouldn't play Juventus, period.

and he is also the reason why arsenal won't play in the c.league in 2006/2007. we will see, let's have a healthy argument. isnt it?

Now seriously. Have you watched Kirschstein against BVB? He was really awful. I wonder why he replaced Wächter who was a decent goalkeeper.
)
am hsv fan, against bvb he had no chance those shots were placed far awy beyond his reach, 4th goal, he was following or obeying doll's instruction

I wasn't exactly refering to the goals - more to his overall performance. Sometimes it looked like he couldn't even hold or stop an easy ball.

Buckley's first shot in minute 7. Kirschstein wasn't to able to catch that easy ball but let it bounce.

And after Kahn performs well again next week he'll be the number one choice again. This bickering won't really do anything...Klinsman has his mind made up, its going to be Kahn. I say we give him a vote of confidence going into the finals this summer.

you guys would be idiots to take Kahn. Over the last three months, Lehmann has proved week in and week out that he is the better choice with his performances with Arsenal. Kahn in the meantime makes the odd impossible save while at the same time letting in goals that no third division goalkeeper would. Clearly, it should be Lehmann.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Lehmann ALL THE WAY!! Kahn was great in the last WC but he's passed his zenith. Lehmann is fitter and seems to recuperate quicker which is crucial for a Word Cup.

Come on! can there be some reasonable debate here?
Stability- Consistancy- Kahn
Leadership - Kahn
Otherwise there is probably very little to choose between them and I guess that is why there has been very little sensible discussion comparing and contrasting the two. I feel bad for Lehmann as he hasn't had his chance to shine with the national team. I think Klinsman made one fundamental mistake with this whole keeper thing. If he really wanted to give Lehmann a proper chance, he should have said upon coming on as coach that Lehmann was the number one and we will have a competition for the position to see who wins out. That way your giving Lehmann a legitamite chance. As it stands now, with Kahn being the number one and Lehmann having to take it from him, it will be farcical if Klinsi says, in a few weeks, that Lehmann has won the spot. Kahn has done nothing to loose the spot and Lehmann hasn't been undeniably better. One can argue all one would like as to who has been slightly better but slightly better, to me, doesn't mean a known quantity (Kahn) with nationalelf would lose his spot. Moreover, if Lehmann is named number one that will be the end of Germany's hopes for great success. It will cause major chemistry problems in the team ( becuz of the way things have played out). Sorry, Lehmann because I would really like to see you get your day in the sun. :(

Enke is the best german keeper in my opinion, but that's out of question. As the choice is between Lehmann and Kahn only, it has to be Lehmann for the WC.

Kahn was probably better than him once, but he hasn't been that good for a while. He's committed a lot of silly goals this season, not only in this last game. His performance against the US wasn't great either, with some very nice saves on the line but also one crucial false estimation when storming out of the box and missing the ball.
Lehmann on the other hand is maybe in the form of his life. If the Arsenal supporters are not exaggerating he's been great the whole season. And performance has to be Klinsmann's main concern, not reputation and past glory.

I think Klinsi actually prefers Lehmann and it's just the pressure that gets heaped on him from Bayern officials that allows Kahn to remain favourite.
