Ahhh, living in the USA and telling us about EPL. I see........

Still you haven't told me why Kirschstein is such a great keeper. Come on, let us all hear your arguments.

because Kirschstein was amazing against Borussia Dortmund ;) :D

I Told You Enke Is The Best Then Kirchstein Then Weidenfeller.
Kirchstein Is The New Number 1 At Hsv And His Diving Is Good And His Total Command In His Area, He Is 26, Young And Flexible Unlike Kahn And Lehmann

i watch bundesliga on fox, lehmann is not tested much at arsenal, lehmann is the reason arsenal will finish outside the top 4 in premier league. his punching of the ball leaves a lot to be desired, instead of punching the ball out of play or as far as possible, he punches it to opponents

Quite the opposite actually. Jens has played outstanding in spite of some bad defending. Lehmann has saved Arsenal's Arse or come up huge many times this year. It's no surprise that Lehmann was voted Arsenal's player of the month in February.

You Are Considered Great In England If You Save Corner Kicks And Crosses, You Will See What Acarp He Is If He Is Chosen Germany Number 1

Kirschstein isn't 26. If you look up his age in some database, keep in mind that his birthday is in June...so he is 25.

At all you need to have seen at least 10 Bundesliga matches of Kirschstein to judge him. I doubt that you have seen as many matches of him as you don't live in Germany.

Now seriously. Have you watched Kirschstein against BVB? He was really awful. I wonder why he replaced Wächter who was a decent goalkeeper. But that's HSV's decision. And maybe he will prove me wrong in the future. Wouldn't mind another good German goalkeeper ;)

No.1 is Enke, that's clear. After that there's a longer list with candidates like Weidenfeller, Kahn, Wiese, Hildebrand and even Koch.

There's one thing that's sure: We won't have any problems with THIS position in the future. Young goalkeepers like Fromlowitz, Rensing, Adler, Tschauner are waiting ;)

Based on what??

He's come up huge in high pressure situations throughout his entire career. I witnessed his outstanding play during Schalke's run to the winning the UEFA cup. Without Lehmann, Schalke would not have won the cup, he was superb, especially in the PK shootout. Hell, he even scored the last-minute tying goal in one of the Ruhrpott derbies in 97/98. Even with his dip of form in 04/05, Lehmann still redeemed himself with an amazing performance vs ManU in the FA cup final. He's played though many high-pressure situations, and has done very well.

I really like Enke. Maybe he will be HSV's new keeper in 2007. They are still looking out for a new goalie and even approached Weidenfeller's adviser. Though we won't let him go. :-)

IMHO Kirschstein is better than Wächter and has even potential to develope (so in that way I agree with Vertical). Still he is at the moment an average keeper at maximum who is not really consistant in his performances. The match against BVB (2:4) showed that clearly.

After WC2006 IMHO Enke and Weidenfeller would be the best solution for our NT. Enke might even be the most complete goalie out there and can even play as a virtual libero (like Lehmann). That is something Weidenfeller absolutely can not do. His passing is awful.

Still I have the bad feeling that Hildebrand will become No.1. :-(

That wasn't necessary. Normally I should neg-rep you for that foul! ;-)

Yeah, I feel the same way :( . He's being "groomed" for the future starting role. He's a pretty decent (albeit overrated) keeper, but he's got nothing on Weidenfeller and Enke.

Depends on our future NT coach. If Klinsmann continues, it will probably be Hildebrand...:( (I could live with that if we win the world cup this year though ;) )

LOL!!

Hey, you guys got some good years from Jens as well!
Switching over to the dark side though... tisk tisk....

:D

Though we did have to accept Der Heulsuse der Nation to Gelsenkirchen!

And I have the horrible vision that if Kahn will be our WC keeper, he refuses to step down afterwards and wants to remain our NT goalie.

thatb was 1997, we are in 2006. how many times have you seen lehmann trying to save ball that is already in the net?, 200 times he is a slow thinker, and arsenal won't win because the c.league because of him, you have to look at the quality of the saves not just match reports

You seriously have no idea what you are talking about.

Jens was the one of the biggest factors in why Arsenal advanced past Real.
