those are good . I'm planning on buying the Gadsen and First Navy Jack before leaving for germany . I'm just not sure where I will hang them up though if I am not near the front row . I have cat 4 , anyone with past WC experience know if its ok to leave them hanging then come back after the game ?

Very nice. Not sure how many flags I'll be able to afford to buy for Germany after having 2 stolen in Columbus and 1 in Hartford, but that's a great site.

Why are US flags always so bloody expensive?

If you are serious about "getting vexed", PM me and I'll give you
my source. It is a retail outfit on the east coast. But they will
negotiate in quantity. I've spent over $5k with them since '96;
you saw $1k of that investment on the PHP north wall on Sunday.

because there's a little bit more to them that a red cross on a white background. any kid with a sewing kit can make one of those.

Right.... I've always wondered how so many Englishmen can afford all the flags hung up at games........ I see a 3x5 us flag in a store and they start at $30 for a really crappy quality version.....

yeah... uhhmmm NO!! they won't be there after the game!! I lost one every game in Korea and I was sitting in the same section or one over! I used to get the flags for free, so it wasn't a big deal, but not free this time around. :D

While I'm not sure if this can be considered a historical flag it is clearly

1) Historical

2) Hysterical

I would unfurl it around the 70th minute of the Ghana game if things are going well.

That scenario would be the greatest thing I have ever seen.

If I had $2,500 I would make it happen but alas I have $3.43 in the bank.

I'm sure our friends in Europe would appreciate the humor.

For any of you flag experts out there, is this flag a good deal?

Definitely a good deal. US Historicals usually are only
available in Nylon in the $25-$35 range.

Country and State flags are much more widely available
in polyester, and in small (10-50) quantity can be had
for $5-$7 per.

$10 for a complicated design like the 1st Navy Jack
in polyester is definitely a good deal for someone who
is only going to buy one or two.

good price for what you'll be doing with it. Most US flags are made to withstand wind, rain and all types of weather (and people trying to burn it!) so they usually cost a bit more. the Polyester wont hold up if you try to fly it out the window of your car while doing 60 MPHor if you leave it out in sun for a few days (fade). But for a few hours a day, hanging from a railing or above your head on a pole, it should be just fine.

those are some good prices for those flags . I think I'm gonna buy three or four flags to take to Germany , and if they get stolen after the game , its all good .
