The lad had a great game against Chelski. I remember him playing up front for our reserves and he did brilliantly there, but Colchester seem to have transformed him into a winger. He's a natural left footer with a great turn of pace and has played both on the left and the right wings for them this season. If we end up selling Ziegler and nothing else emerges in the transfer market, Yeates might be ready for some Premiership action next season. Thoughts?

Hopefully. He looked decent in his handful of appearances to date for Spurs, so hopefully a season of football (he hasn't missed a game for them all season apart from the opening game due to registration deadlines) will have done him good. I read an interview with him in the Irish Independent at the weekend before the Chelsea match, and he sounds extremely confident and ambitious. His shot that came off the post against Chelsea wasn't bad either.

I only saw highlights of the Chelsea match, but did anyone else think he's carrying a bit too much weight?
Good pace, though.

IMO we have to look past Yeates and aim for a better winger. He could become a squad player though but i think he is a confident person and would want to play regular.
