The past German teams were ruthless & had attitude & toughness----because...they were...................."GERMAN"!!!! I know what i say is NOT "Politically correct"----but--are they any people out there who agree with me? I'm NOT being "racist"...but----too many "non Germans"----ESPECIALLY NON EUROPEANS!! Asamoah is NOT "German"! I don't care what his passport says! Neither is OMO.....! Sorry if i offended anyone---that was NOT my intent! I'm just speaking a cold-hard fact!
What the ******** is this? Same shit I got when France played Germany and people where saying that Germany could have beaten 11 white players from France... What the hell?
I don't know all of the details, but if Asamoah puts on a German shirt, and plays for Germany, then how on earth do you get off telling him what is and isn't German? Oh but your not racist I forgot. Only you don't like these "non" Germans, especially these non-European non-Germans putting on your teams shirt.
People like you make me ashamed to be European. Your a bloody well disgrace.

You don't seem to like my opinions, but I'll try again here.
I don't think Germany has lost "talent". I feel what Germany has lost is "attitude". I feel the great German teams of the past were never the most talented teams in the world.
However, the German teams of old were RUTHLESS!!!
They continually out-worked, out-hustled and imposed their will on opponents.
I think today's German players are missing that attitude. I think today's German players are soft. They think others will be afraid of them because they are the mighty "Adler". I don't think some of them realize people stopped being afraid of them long ago.
I think the only ones on the team who still possess that ruthless trait are Lehmann and Kahn.
I think if Germany's players find some pride and toughness they will be hard to beat. But as long as they go out there and play with no attitude, I feel they will continue to get spanked by the world's other major footballing nations........ :( :(
Not again! I have serious doubt over your fundamental idea of what have been making German Soccer Great in the past. You seem to have put a cart before the horse
And arthur d is right. My thinking aligns with his.
All you said about all the abstract: pride, toughness, ruthlessness ... are founded on three things in soccer: TECHNIQUE; PHYSICAL CONDITION and
STRATEGY
AND what Germany now missing most is GOOD TECHNIQUES - SOMETHING TTHAT the former greats have: Littbarski; Moller; Mathaeus; Klinsi; Voller; Rumminegge; Fisher; ..... the techniques you know with brimming confidence that no one in the rival team can get the ball from you once your are in CONTROL, the techniques that you have the vision to foresee where is the danger and you will step up your pace to plug the hole in defence; the techiques that you will meet the ball passing to you few yards ahead of your opponents in the line of aggression; the techniques that you will offer to your team-mate a clear and open space so that you will bail him out of the danger of losing the ball when he sees you .... all these are some of the ingredients of "talent"
And in one shot, I also refute your opionion the element of youth does nothing to help the team; I also disagree your opinion that Riquelme is a so-so player.

I don't even think Wotan is German. We had this same "discussion" a while ago about Asamoah, Owomoyela etc. I don't know why, but I can't search for his other posts anymore.

Give it a ********ing rest. We got it after your first few threads. And I guess I'm not only speaking for myself when I say: we still don't care.

Although this was a good response, I just wanted to mention that the word Arthur was looking for is mudskipper ;).

First, obviously that Wotan guy does have some serious problems. No debate here. And this Wotan guy is in all likeliness not German.
However in that thread you are referring to, nobody gave you any shit. It was you and Ganu that gave me shit!
I was trying to search for the posts over in the France-Germany thread only to find out that Ganu has deleted all of them. I can't believe it.
To explain what was going on. From memory, one French supporter said that the German players looked weak/fragile (something like that) compared to the French players. Then I came along and stated what a difference to the 1980s this was, when the French team was the weak and fragile one. One of the reasons being that the French team today has more colored players in their team, who are (*shock!*horror!*) more physically imposing than the white guys France had in the 1980s. I didn't say Germany could have beaten 11 white guys last November, I simply said that it was easier for Germany back in the 1980s (just look at the record). I have many France games from the 1980s on DVD, and these guys really weren't looking too threatening. It was a very lightweight team, and that is a fact.
I also never even remotely implied that colored players should not play for France, as I never even remotely implied anything about "bigger physique=less intellectual capabilities". I have to point that out, as Ganu and Sl7vk desperately tried to construct something racist out of my posts, I don't know why, they struck me as persons with very hard anti-German feelings, which automatically leads them to look for something they can interpret as "racist" whenever they meet one. All these racist implications came from Ganu and Sl7vk, I never even said anything remotely in that direction and I am still angry as hell that they tried to make me look like a racist. All I said was that colored athletes are - by and large - more physical than white athletes. Is there really anyone doubting this (except Ganu and Slv7k)? Just look at the US Olympics team, it is a fact and stating that is not racism. Well, along came Ganu and Sl7vk and implied that I was basically a friggin Nazi! Has to be seen to be believed. Ganu and Sl7vk appear as whenever they see a German, they look for the slightest sign of "racist" so that they can fire away their guns.
It was a totally surreal experience and it is telling that Ganu decided to delete this farce, as he and his buddy Sl7vk look like oversensitive hysteric fools of the worst kind. The best thing was that Jonam told me that Sl7vk has made racist remarks in other threads, I think towards Greeks.
I'm still getting angry thinking about this farce.
And you, Sl7vk, have the friggin nerve to compare this racist crap written by Wotan, to my post in the other thread.
