No attendance figures given, but the size was described as modest. Not a good sign for it to be a 'home' match for Wednesday. We'll be playing at a neutral field at best, depending on if the Ticos send any visiting fans.

It must have been cold and/or raining. Players on the bench and some of the fans were wearing jackets and a couple of the Bermuda players were wearing long sleeves, so the weather must have been pretty brutal.

You know how it goes: It is impossible to play in less than perfect weather.

Club cream to the top in CONCACAF (http://www.fifa.com/en/news/feature/0,1451,114902,00.html?articleid=114902), Fifa.com

Though the Boston-based club were the best team in MLS last season over the course of the 'regular season' and have in the side current national team standout and 2005 MLS Player of the Year Taylor Twellman, they will have their work cut out against Costa Rica's most successful side, historically speaking.

They should do some more research, the Revs weren't the best team during the season last year...

Thanks for those links.

It seems their assistant believes the Revs play an English style (um, 3-5-2 isn't English, maybe we should stick with that ;) ) and that he expects us to be in good shape. Also says he thinks level of MLS has risen a lot and that the Revs deserve to be in the cup despite not winning the championship. (just what i was able to get out of it)

"Dempsey scored the goal of the game with a well-timed volley Burgess would not have got his fingertips to had he been warned a week earlier." :)

"Tony Lochhead, for whom the game will mark his full Revs debut."

Does this mean he's been promoted to the regular roster from the DV roster?

Doc, I just think it means he will play for the first time for the first team in a sanctioned competition (i.e not reserves or exhibition)

Both interpitations work I guess. I do think he will end up on the regular roster.

Here's the line from Andrew:

"Daniel Hernandez was kept out of today’s session but is likely to partner Jay Heaps in the centre of defense, as he has done in each of the Revs games thus far. The pair will be flanked by James Riley on the right and Joe Franchino on the left, who will play behind Tony Lochhead, for whom the game will mark his full Revs debut."

I don't know...but from this language, it sounds like he's starting.

hmmm, I thought Lochhead was more of a defender...but hey, if he is looking good on the left wing, I am happy to hear that
