With Round 7's matches now complete, we are at the mid-point of Season 28. Time to talk about how we are doing and what we want our 2nd half goals to be.
SC Bearkat is doing extremely well this season considering the rash of injuries that have seemed to plague the team since the mid-point of LAST season.
Currently sit in the #3 spot at the mid-point of the season. My new Coach who was converted at the beginning of the season has allowed me to keep up with the 3 other PM trainers in my series without major upgrades to my IM's.
Made a run into the 4th round of the Cup for the first time in team history after successive rounds in the the 3rd round to begin my HT career.
The injuries have hampered my trainees development along with keeping some of my key players form down due to a lack of consistent playing time. I know there is nothing I can do to decrease the amount of injuries and the maximum amount of Physio's doesn't seem to help with reducing the injury lengths. Just getting very frustrated with this portion of HT right now.
2nd half goals are to keep improving the team and stay above the Qualifier line for the first time in DV, while looking for some VooDoo 'Kat Doctors to stop the injuries. :D

The FC Holzöpfel ist still cruising out of the cellar league levels (DVIII right now). In the 2.5 seasons of our existence, we've won every league game so far, which makes 35 of them. Thus, we're also sitting at the top of our leage again. One highlight was also the 1st-round cup win against a DVI team. We've been ok with injuries so far compared with some others on this board (had some, but not nearly as extreme). Currently, we're just expanding our arena to 20k seats.
In the second half, the goal is to keep the #1 spot and win that third medal. Should definitely be realistic, even though I'll sell one of our top3 IMs in 3-4 weeks. Right now I just try to stay competitive enough to get that medal without spending too much money on improving my squad in non-trainee areas, and rather invest the money into the training program or arena expansions.

I'm sitting atop my series as I'd hoped/expected and I'm relatively pleased with team performance thus far. I'm going to be top 3 for sure and probably top 2.

At midseason, Henderson United's record is 1 win, 3 draws, and 3 losses; currently in 6th place.
For comparison, midseason (27) HU's record was 4 wins, 0 draws, 3 losses; was in 5th place.

Being demoted into a VI bot series this season was all about two things.
1) Money
2) Getting a team that could compete in V
So my only real measure of my teams current abilities can only be seen sparingly throughout the season, but with the best eleven being played in a normal away I'm looking at 150 hatstats and weak H midfields. There are obvious holes in the squad but trying to save up as much money as possible until the season end to fill them. The team economically has had horrible money management, as I usually am flirting with debt, so I still want to hold on to a small sum. Also have to decide if I want to stick around in this series for another cupcake walkthrough so the trainees can go up another couple levels before selling the lot of em (4 are currently 20).

I'm in second with a 5-1-1 record. The loss and tie were both on the road. I'd be happy with holding onto my position; I'd be ecstatic if Cascadia screwed up again (he set a 3-4-1 or something similarly awful in week 1) and I jumped into first. Mostly I'm enjoying the fact that I like this game and I'm more worried about next season's Cup and series dogfights. I was bounced in round 2 again this year and I want to get better.

I'll post more tonight, but I'm 3-4 right now in 5th place in my IV division. I currently have a good fighting chance of at least fighting to stay up in IV this season. Now with a full healthy lineup I should be doing well to stay up. I'll most more indepth tonight, but right now I've improved my strike force and will look to improve defense later this season again.

I'm in the basement and praying that a midseason trade of wing attack for midfield (i.e. trading in a trainee) will be enough for me to take the points to avoid relegation. If I go down, some V series is going to be very unhappy. (For that matter, I wouldn't expect most promotion sides to fare all that well in my series, either.)
I've got four points right now, and I'm hard-pressed to say that I should have more than one or two more than that.

2. Black Hawks F.C 7 23 - 5 16
3. Titan FC 7 23 - 13 15
4. Roxbury Crossing Burning Trash 7 13 - 20 10
5. Greeley Soro 7 15 - 10 9
6. Norge Vikings 7 12 - 20 7
7. MJ Soccer 7 6 - 29 3
8. Bando Jewelry 7 2 - 29 1
I blew a few matches early in the season because I tried to MOTS Knights on Matchday 1 and then just lost a few road games to tough teams that I should be able to beat at home. Also I got screwed because Bando Jewelry is a new team... and the former team didn't get replaced until after I played them, and they held me to a 1-1 draw (I was on the road and had to PIC because of poor TS), so that cost me 2 points that no one else lost during the first half of the season. :(
Now my TS is delirious and I play MJ next week (PIC) so I am in good shape for the 2nd half of the season.
If all results next week go the same as this week (which they should) then I'll already be out of a relegation spot and the table will look like this (at least on points):
1. Knightz of Lord - 24
2. Black Hawks F.C - 19
3. Titan FC - 18
4. Norge Vikings - 10
5. Roxbury Crossing Burning Trash - 10
6. Greeley Soro - 9
7. MJ Soccer - 3
8. Bando Jewelry - 1

AS Alcohol's season started off very badly. We crashed out of the cup in round 2 and only won 2 of our first 5 league matches due to some bad TS management and form issues. The past two rounds have been a bit of a recovery though and we're in 4th place with 13 points, 5 clear of 5th place.
My second half of the season has 4 home games but every one of my away games is going to be tough, I'll be happy if I can get 4 points out of those 3 games. 3rd place is attainable but 4th is looking more likely because I'm in the process of selling 2 of my top 3 IM trainees and I'm not sure how I'm going to spend the money just yet. At least I won't have to worry about

basically the top 4 are well clear of the bottom 4 skill wise, as I predicted before the season. Basically I'm fighting to stay in IV, and did myself a big favor by winning over 6 and 7 the past two weeks respectively. I am at home this week against 7 who if I can win I will be in very good shape to have a qualifier. If I do go down this season I will likely be making some bigger changes in my team then if I stay up. If I go down, my best 2 IM's will be sold and I'll likely sit on the cash until late in the season. If I stay up only my top IM will be sold. The next two weeks will show me if I stay up or go down. 2 wins and I'll get a qualy, a win and a loss and I probably am a favorite to get a qualy. 2 losses and I am in a relegation fight.

I should be in first, but I went 5-1-1, the kicker being that I tied the div VI promotee. :(
But, that being said, I'm only 1 point out of first. Need to keep pace. The good news being that I face the top two rivals at my arena. Those teams being Maratitans and Team Nage.

Well Totti is my favorite and I want to see him succeed on the world stage. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see him rested against the US though. ;)

After being in the top four the first three seasons I have been in DV.61, I'm not thrilled at how the season is going. However I did manage to beat WPT.
Been a seasopn where there have been more injuries than I can count. Should get some extra cash if I can manage to get a qualifier.

Well, the league season started off poorly with a draw against last year's sixth-place team; after that, however, things improved as I managed a win, a draw, and a loss against the top three teams in V.246. I'm now in 4th with 14 points; the leader has 17 and 2nd and 3rd place are tied on 15 points. Since I detest the notion of throwing games, I'll certainly be looking to avoid a qualifier (I'm 4 points above the 5th place team). I'm optimistic that I can get a few breaks here and there and move into 2nd or 3rd place. Right now my coach is at wretched experience; I'm holding off on getting a new one (I have a solid XP guy waiting in the wings) until I have a good shot at promotion. If I changed coaches now I might even have a shot at winning the league this year; but it's unlikely I'd win a qualifier, and even if I did, the average hatstats in Div IV is about 205 and my average is only 180 or so--I want to be solidly into Div IV, not struggling to stay alive. Once I finish my defender training regimen (this season? Next season?), I can sell my defender trainees, switch back to PM, upgrade players at forward, winger, and keeper, and hopefully then I'll be able to move up to Div IV.

Sitting in third on Goals Scored. I am playing the 5th place team this week at his place. I will finish likely in either 4th or 5th place, third is a small possiblity it may come down to the last match of the season for that. I wouldn't mind 4th place this season as I could use two weeks of stanima training in the offseason. Even though I train midfield it is my weekest spot on the team, poor form is one reason and injuries another. I am pleased by my attack and my upgraded GK has been nice. I am thinking of one more defensive upgrade, a WB most likely. I just bought a 18 formiable IM, though with no secondaries. Still he will likely become an instant starter im my midfield. I am two seasons away from really challenging for promotion, but I am starting to formulate a plan.
