Changed my mind on those two, and went with a classic (I think) that I have been meaning to read. Also a big change of pace from, still interesting to me, Tom Clancy. :D

Yeah, I'm really confused at the moment, I dunno whats going on. He'll say one thing about the characters and then in the next page say something completely different!

Currently just finnished readin Valerio Massimo Manfredini's trilogy about Alexander the Great. If you enjoy historical novels it's definitley one I'd recommend. I started reading it just before the movie came and then I lost interest because I saw the film.

But I picked it up again this summer and was positively surprised, it's an amazing story.

I don't like Vonnegut for this very reason.

You read a lot of his stuff? I am enjoying Cat's Cradle tremendously, excellent writing.

No, I've only read a few of his books. I just can't stay focused when I'm reading him. It's all personal preference though.

I'm currently reading a biography of John Lennon called "Lennon Revealed" by Larry Kane. I also have "Aztec" by Gary Jennings near my desk and Dante's "Inferno" is in the queue. I also just put an order in at Amazon for R. Gary Patterson's "The Walrus was Paul" about the great Paul is Dead....hoax and Howard Zinn's "A People's History...". Too bad school starts in about 2 weeks.

Well my book schedule was a bit thrown out of wack since my library online catalogue said that the two books I was planning on reading were in, but in fact were checked out. So I settled on Fahrenheit 451 from my roomate which I read in high school but didn't pay much attention to it so am having another go round. I also got a copy of The Odyssey from my other roomate, but with school starting soon the chances of me getting to that are slim to nil.

Still waiting for the V for Vendetta graphic novel to make it to my library. It's been on order for over two weeks now!

Well, the four copies of it that we own at my library have gone AWOL, the bookstore prices are astronimical, and the UPS guy hasn't arrived. Plus, I'm a lot more interested in Lennon, so I went with that first.

McCullough's "1776"

Am half way through it.. Very interesting book and a good read.. I like how he really gets into the thoughts and lives of the key players during the war..

Am also 3/4 of the way through Rooneys autobigraphy.. It's lite reading almost as if written by a 2 year old ( you know large font small words)

Picked up Keano's autobiography and Beckham's autobiography at Heathrow can't wait to start Keane..
