As for hooking up, um, I'd be cautious about meeting up with someone from the internet. Definitely you need to talk to her on the phone a few times first. And meet in a public place, in the day, with your friends around, etc. Seriously, be really careful if you mess with meeting someone from the internet. She's right. Girls can smell confidence on a guy. It's like dogs and bees with fear. Weird. Confidence=attractive. That is why its so easy to talk to people online, because you don't have to see eachother eye to eye, you don't feel like you're being judged, and you're more willing to talk than you would in a more personal setting.

Too many people, my girlfriend included, feel that girls like guys with girlfriends because girls like to have something that belongs to others. I think it has to do with the confidence level of a guy with a girl. You can just tell the difference.
