Can anyone provide a PBP - not on TV here?

EJ's not starting? What the heck? Is he injured again and we haven't heard about it?

No injury that I know of. Hopefully Bruce is so well pleased with what he's seen from GAM that he feels no need to trot him out there for a full 90 minutes of Guat hacking.
3 fowards makes the most sense since we're super thin in midfield. WTF is up with EJ?

Is this officially Brian Ching's last chance, you think?

However, the hacking is sure to get more intense as the clock rolls on. Why not start him, get a lead, and then pull him for safety? Assuming that's the thought process.

Bringing along EJ slowly as he hasn't played that
many minutes in 6 months. Seems reasonable.
I actually like that formation. This a 4-3-3 that makes
since with twowing forwards who can actually
complement the target player and one
another.

Yep. Wolff and Rolfe are more than likely competing for the final forward spot assuming BMB, Twellman, EJ are in the pool. I can't see Ching making it, especially with his lackluster performances lately. But who knows, maybe a hat trick today and he is back in the running?
I would say the same goes for Klein. Odds are Arena knows whether he wants Klein or Ralston (if at all ....depending on Dempsey and/or Convey/DMB).
I like the fact that the defenders should get challenged with that MF in front of them.

His last chance to start or get big minutes. Frankly he
needs to put at least two away.

Wow, color me surprised.
The thing that first jumps out to me: Pearce will get a real chance here to make a name for himself. He's the only left-sided player in the squad and will need to make a difference offensively.
What will the formation look like on the pitch? My guess:
------------- Guzan -----------------
--Hejduk---Conrad---Pope---Pearce--
--------------Zavagnin--------------
-------Klein------------Olsen--------
---Rolfe----------------------Wolff--
----------------Ching---------------
Hejduk and Pearce will really have to feel the voids on the touchlines.

Looking forward to seeing Rolfe get some time...I think he will impress.

If nothing else, it is final confirmation that Quaranta, Carroll, and Martino are not going to Germany.

Looks to me like Arena got the guys who still have shot, GAM notwithstanding, on the field.
I really haven't been very excited about this game, but this lineup could make it interesting.
