How many people from the supporters group are going to the pick-a-seat day next Sunday, February 26 from 2-4 pm at Robertson Stadium? That day will be after they pick the new name for the team and it would perhaps be a good time to get together.

Not a bad idea. We can also use ther chance to meet someone else, maybe closer to Robertson. Is this Griff's place close to Robertson?

Bump. If we are going to do this, we need to decide so people can know in advance.

I am totally down for this idea. Most people are going to have Sunday off so why not. We can start spreading the word if yall want to

Is the bar on campus open on Sundays? We could meet there. Griffs is in the Montrose area, so it's not exactly next door.

I think its a good idea even if it is just an informal one. As we talked about today at Nikos Nikos, we really need to start getting an idea of how many people are interested in season tickets with the supporter's group. If we don't have a number, we have no leverage in negotiations for ticket discounts.

What about Clyde Drexlers bar-b-q? Its right off the freeway and very nice inside. Or somewhere in the downtown area?

Yeah, I'm not thinking of a real formal meeting, just maybe a little get together. It would be nice to have something set up at Robertson, so people would realize we are the supporters group and could come over and talk with us and then we could all go somewhere for a couple of drinks. I think we could rake in some members this way.

I'll meet with anyone anytime so let's have some drinks somewhere and have some 'Charla'...that's coffee talk in Texican Spanish.

I will also be speaking with James Martin this week and I will try to work out a ticket structure with him.

How about we say the people that want to meet for drinks be in section 112 of Robertson at 2:30?

That's a damn good idea. Maybe arrange an area with the FO to be near the front gate with a sign saying who we are. Let people get an idea of what we are about...letting them know when the next meeting is...maybe handing out coupons for free admission to the first tailgate.

You know...I've been thinking about this...if I'm female and let's say...started college in the 80's...that might make me the support groups oldest member and maybe a mom type figure? My only kids are my two dogs...

I'm totally depressed. :(

You won't be the oldest member, and even if you were, who cares? It's how old you are on the inside that counts.

You sound like Stuart Smalley....

...but your sentiment is right.

So is it decided...are we meeting Sunday? Somewhere at the stadium? Mainly to coordinate seating?

As I posted in the other thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=315320), unless there is a thing outside promoting the supporters group, let's meet at 2:30 in Section 112 of Robertson Stadium. I hope my shirt comes in time for me to wear it to the event.
