My girlfriend thought I was an idiot to bring my scarf halfway around the world just to take this picture, but she doesn't understand why I wake up at 4AM to watch a match, either. :D
Great stuff...

FANTASTIC...!!! I've just received news that I've won 2 million Euros. It's not a lot but is does afford some freedoms.
First I retire, aquire my 4 season seats in the Kop. A nice flat in the Albert Dock buildings would be great for stop overs to get to Anfield or any of the European venues. A First class sleeper seats account on BA for the big pond trips. Probably have the cousins or any of youz guys use the tickets when I can't make it. (Magnanimous bastard) Just as a start.
What would you guys do if you were as lucky as me...!? :)

I was googling up some info on the Treaty of Nicea and this page came up....(Below)...don't ask me but it did look interesting
So, someone come up with a football term that could be changed the same way. We do get our share of #18 in here.
The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are this year's winners:
1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.
2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.
3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.
4. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.
5. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.
6. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.
7. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
8. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.
9. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.
10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate's disease. (This one got extra credit.)
11. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.
12. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.
13. Glibido: All talk and no action.
14. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
15. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.
16. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.
17. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.
And the pick of the literature:
18. Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an asshole

Finally got my knee worked on yesterday. The quack got in there with his dremmel tool and ground down some lumps, bumps and tears while I took a nap.
Gonna surprize those kids when they find me clipping them from behind again.
Got to keep it up (the knee) for a couple of days. So the missus is looking after my grape peeling and drink fixing for a while. I could get used to this.
The doc thinks I should retire from International games, just stick with the last 30 in the prem and that'll save me for the full 90 in the CL.
edit: Found some footy to watch as well. Just seen Milan beat Mourinho's Porto from '03 and later The 'pool / City match from early this year is on. They're starting Chel$ki / Fulham now so I'll just move on and catch up with my knitting. Nothing to see here...!!!

Hey LB.
My ever lovin' wife bought 2 tickets for me to see a match between some Spanish Club, Real Madrid (I'd hate to see he fake one) and the world famous DC United.
Should be a fun night out, be different watching a Spanish club full of ferriners rather than an English club full of Spaniards....!
Hope they play some of their 'big' names.....Madrid that is.. :)

Good night out, we went early and had dinner out before the match along with a couple or three beers. After the introductions and the anthems which totally bore the crap out of me. The teams got it on. It was pretty entertaining, RVN put up a good show, linked with Becks a couple of times and really shudda had a couple of goals. I think it was his first turn out for Real, same for Canavaro (Was he the mandolin guy or the pizza?) Now he is class? He just took over the defense when he came on after the half and controlled his half of the field, noticed he had them playing a lot deeper than the first half, Serie A influence?
Entertaining stuff though and DCU didn't let the side down, although clearly outclassed they hung in there and scored a nice goal

E-Ticket Preview (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/preview/pressconf.htm)
Old Houllier Press Conference.
They ask about team news.
First words for Houllier... "Team news, obviously Chris Kirkland is.... [long pause] ...imjured."
I laughed so hard. Some things you can just count on to be there, like a good ol' Kirkland injury.
