The Costa Rican-MLS battles should be good.

The Costa Rican-MLS battles should be good.
On that note...

All-time MLS vs. CRC Competitive Record:

1999
Chicago - Alajuelense 1:1, 4:5 Pen.

2000
DC United - Alajuelense 2:1

2001 (Giants Cup)
Saprissa - Columbus 2:0
Columbus - Saprissa 1:1

2003
Alajuelense - New England 4:0
New England - Alajuelense 3:1 (played in CRC)

2004
Alajuelense - San Jose 3:0
San Jose - Alajuelense 1:0
Saprissa - Chicago 2:0
Chicago - Saprissa 2:1

2005
Kansas City - Saprissa 0:0
Saprissa - Kansas City 2:1 (AET)

4 Wins, 3 Draws, 5 Losses

The match-by-match record doesn't look so bad, but only once has an MLS side eliminated a CRC team in seven match-ups.

History is not on MLS' side...

Olimpia of Honduras have win 3 not 2
Nope...two is the correct number. Out of the eight teams this year, six are former winners:

Club America (4); Saprissa (3); Toluca (2); Alajuelense (2); Olimpia (2); LA Galaxy (1)

Yes, but in 1959 Olimpia won this torunament, but only Nort, and Central America teams played, no caribbean,, which is the same shit.

Hmm...interesting. Link? What was the name of that tournament and who organized it?

Either way, it's not counted in the official record of the Champions Cup...
