My bot opponent is batting first. I'm giving up a lot more runs than I should, but it is a hard and fast pitch, so I'm not sure if I should be concerned. My opening partnership needs to bring their A game when my innings comes around cause I'm going to need them at their best.
Fortunately, both my opening partnership has very good concentration so they should be batting a long time.

He ends with 260-9. This should be an easy innings for me, but I don't want to jinx myself, either...

playing a managerless team. if i can bat 50 overs and keep this run rate I will be very happy. I had wanted to bowl first but I after I changed it to "bowl" this morning I forgot to save it!

Its not great, but if these guys can stay together and bat at 5 runs an over until the 40th over I've got some aggressive lower order batsmen who can take it to Rovers in the last 10 overs.
This is going to be a sticky outcome. Rovers are good, and I'm better, but I've got a feeling he went for it.

Well, I went to Battrick just now planning on spending some time watching my team compete. And I see this:
Marea:
27 runs, 8.3 overs, 10 wickets
Metairie Cricket Club:
29 runs, 3.4 overs, 1 wicket
Wow. It took me 3.4 overs to win. I may have sucked playing in II last year, but III is treating me nicely.

Wow, moved up to 5th :)
5, 6 and 7 are all on 8 points. I play number one next week and will get hammered and move down to 7th on runrate

Up to 319 runs after the 42nd over. They have a pretty strong top order but if I can get a couple early wickets I should win comfortably.

Anything more than 350 is almost impossible to chase because it requires high scoring right from the get go and all throughout the innings, you've got to have really crappy bowling not to win in such a situation.
I'm guessing you'd have beat him even if u didn't GFI, but better safe than sorry I guess.
My guys are going well, not great, but good enough
End of Over 47: 274-3, runrate=5.83
as I type we lose another wicket. no biggy. I'd like to see us approach 300.

387 might be a record high for me. Shouldn't have any trouble defending it.

Last weekend in the English cup your old nemesis, KC Hammers, chased down 366 to win!
I think he only lost one wicket in the process. Phenomenal match.

and yet my proficient/quality spinner does this on his first over:
10.6 . Wild to Mitchell
Pitched into the footmarks, turns sharply, Mitchell thrusts his pad at it with bat aloft.
10.5 . Wild to Mitchell
Forward defensive from Mitchell.
10.4 . Wild to Mitchell
Point running in to field.
10.3 6 Wild to Mitchell
Hoo - ha! Throw away your textbooks, purists as Mitchell went for cow corner with a swing so agricultural It was his mother and his sister at the same time.
10.2 3 Wild to Daniel
Hammered away by Daniel, good running gets them three.
10.1 1 Wild to Mitchell
Tucked away nicely backward of square for the single.

Wicketkeepers 348-3
Snickometers 49-10
biggest win for me. and I TIE'd it, i know it doesn't effect the match as much as before, but still. damn.

Norse had a real nailbiter today that literally came down to the last over. The matchid is 209353, if you want to go look it up and relive the commentary over the end of the match.
If you'd rather avoid the suspense, we won by four runs, defending a total of 325. Blondes needed fifteen runs in the last two overs to win and got ten of them. Theodore Cort had a very odd day bowling, taking seven wickets (closing the match with a hattrick) but doing so in ridiculously expensive fashion as he went for a 7.0 economy rate.
Supposedly, this run-fest took place on a slow pitch. I'd hate to see what would have happened if it had been hard and fast. Seargeant had his best club day in quite a while, posting a total of 185* on 138 balls. We caught a huge break as Blondes accidentally set a batsman to bowl; it looks like that error more than covers the margin of victory.

won my match by 11 runs, with one of my spinners taking 6 for 53.
And I'm still in 2nd with a 4pt cushion. I'm starting to believe that I belong here.

Turns out the GFI might've won the game for me. I gave up over 320 runs on my hard and fast ground.
