Turns out the GFI might've won the game for me. I gave up over 320 runs on my hard and fast ground.
well, that's good. I really don't know too much about hard and fast grounds... I never use it as I've got good batting and balanced bowling. I usually have my pitch at dusty, but I tried it on cracked as well. I'm thinking of making it slow, but I'm not too sure about that.

slow pitches are all over the place, imo. knuckleheads put up 316 on mine and i replied with 294.
i've played on some slow pitches, and have mine set to slow as well. most of my matches against Peters United were on slow pitches, so if you want to checkout some score cards you can look there.

I'm thinking of changing my pitch; it's currently on cracked, because of my typically seam-heavy bowling lineup, but I haven't found that my bowlers usually do that well on it. Although I usually use four seamers, they're a mix with a F, FM, and two M. I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better with either green (supposed to be better for M with cracked better for F) or maybe even hard'n'fast, since I seem to be at less of a batting deficit than a bowling deficit relative to the rest of the series.

well, it could be a lack of concentration in your bowlers. High conc allows for them to exploit conditions better. That said, if you've got good batsmen, green isn't a bad option. A bowler can still tear through a team and the bats generally do well. I'd be on green if I didn't have 2 top spinners.
PS. I can't wait until we can use 6 bowlers.
