When I first was getting into football, there were two teams I had a fondness for: Liverpool and Arsenal. Arsenal almost won out, as one of my best friends is a huge Arsenal fan, but Michael Owen won me over. I'm pretty sure the match that sealed it was a home loss to Newcastle, but I could be mistaken.

Very similar to me.

Owen and Gerrard were the deciding factor, but I almost became an Arsenal fan. I started really liking soccer during the 98 WC and saw these two goals and had to make a decision. Owen became my favorite player and the rest is history.

I became a Liverpool fan during the 1985-86 season, it was Dalglish's first season as manager I believe, and culminated in a memorable final against Everton.

My grandfather was a supporter of Liverpool so with all the time spent with him watching Liverpool FC and stuff like that I grew into being a Liverpool support.
