I was a freeloader for a long time before I started paying. It does seem like I have not been locked out as much as I used to be. In addition, the amount that I paid ($15?) is small compared to the enjoyment that I receive. *tears up* I love you guys. *touches framed photo from NYC meet-up*
$15 is small potatoes.. But I'm getting married and you know how expensive a wife can be...;)

Indeed I do. Just wait until she starts "saving" you money. She'll spend $500, but will have "saved" $500. Yet the net effect is that you're down $500.
Three beers at Nevada Smiths is just over $15. Maybe I'll contribute part of the membership fee at the mini meet-up in April. ;)

So I decided to pony up the $15.. If it helps me avoid busy signals this summer during the World Cup it's worth it...
Plus now VR owes me 3 pints at Nevad's during the mini meetup...:D :D

So I'm kind of tired of BigSoccer... It's just too big. Whenever someone makes an interesting post, 100 people respond within five minutes and you can't have a logical discussion. I'm thinking of starting my own personal forum - real basic stuff. Has anyone done that before? I have the forum software/web host, etc... Just free participation, no premium stuff

If you want an avatar, pay the $15. $15 is nothing - you pay that for a CD that you listen to five times, don't you?
As for me, I'm happy being a freeloader. I don't play on BS as often anymore so it doesn't make as much sense for me to pay to play...
