Help me out folk's, i can't decide who to have on the back of my shirt.

Who did you pick and why?

What number did you have?

Anyone buying the shorts and sock? I want to buy them as well.

I mean i know Donovan will most likely wear 21 at the WC but 10 is better and a striker/playmaker number, well in Europe it is anyway.

Since the new jerseys have kind of retro feel, I'm going old school to the national team players I grew up watching. I'm thinking either Davis or Moyers.

I've got three:
FRIEDEL/1: Because watching his antics in 2002 is what made me a soccer fan
KELLER/18: I don't think I have to explain this one

DEMPSEY/2: Why 2 and not 8? 2 is what he wears for the Revs, and 2 is what he wore when he scored his first international goal, in the England friendly. 2 is what he's wearing in that desktop wallpaper I haven't changed since Nike posted it in August. So what if it's likely he'll wear 8 if he makes the WC roster?

Who will I get when I get the new kits? Not sure yet. Awful tempting to hop the ONYEWU/22 bandwagon. (22 instead of 4 because it's 22 he wore during everyone's favorite staring contest). If they release GK kits again, Hahnemann all the way. Might just wait and see who does what in June.

I always get my name and number on kits. That way, they're not that passe in a few years.

Beasley 17

He's always been my favorite player. He always puts in a great effort offensively and defensively and looks like he's having a fun time doing it.

17 over the 7 because I think Lewis will make the team and DMB will be trumped on seniority for the #7 jersey.

10 is historically worn by captains and seeing as how Reyna is our Captain Donovan should be wearing 21.

Does anyone know what day the World Cup roster has to come out? I want to have whoever I get's number to be exactly right. Which I guess means I'm waiting until that date to order a jersey.

I would have to say I will be donning the Goochs' 22. Why? because I like the number 22 and I like his physical style of play.

I was just about to ask about Onyewu's number. A tough call for a relatively new national team player. I see some differnet ones here, and I found a match where he wore # 6.

Oh- explanation.

I've been serious about soccer as a fan since 94 but only started following the daily club game in 2002. When in Europe I noticed a lot more physicality allowed. When I saw Emile Heskey play for Liverpool against Roma, it was an example of what I called the "Shaq of soccer." That takes a player from the top of a country's atheltic field and his ability to use that size (which is banned in most U.S. leagues). I think in Onyewu we finally have such a player. I love to shock the unitiated people who ask about U.S. soccer with his story.

I'm thinking about getting that on mine but I'm undecided at the moment.

Also, are most of you getting these personalized on the new US retro-looking kit? Or are you going to buy one of the old jerseys like the ones they wore in the recent friendlies against Japan/Norway/Canada?
