i'm thinking he'll be in Spain. can't see him leaving cali for england unless his wages are outrageous and the team takes him in quickly as a starter.

i was going by the euro list...don't get me started on those two. i just had reconstructive shoulder surgery 12 hours ago and i'm in a dazed ranting mood. my only obstacle is one hand typing, but it allows time for logic. i'm a bit cautious about Donovan in the World Cup. He may not have the sucess he believes he'll have. i could picture us winning and losing with him only being our 5-6th best player on the field at any certain game.

I think that depends on the "Reyna-O'Brian factor" (on what position he will play) on his importance in the game as compared to others on the team.

yeah , I read a little while ago BA said if we were without Reyna and JOB , LD might find himself in the playmaking role in Germany , and thats why he has been playing there lately . He's been doing great , but I'd rather see Reyna there , and LD running at defenders, thats what hes best at .

Well, yeah, thought its a landon thread, the article isn't about him, its about the whole team getting love with Donovan getting the most prominence.

good article. Have to say I agree with his overall assesment of the Camp players. dempsey certaintly is coming around and Twellman has also made strides. Along with Dunivant and I expect great things from Landon in the WC. Not sure I am seeing the same things in KZ so far but I guess with all the injuries at D-mid, one might be forced to see something that might not be there.

The article is about those who stood out in the recent 2 friendlies. Donovan is obviously the most prominent of all MLS based players ... though I don't recall Arena criticising him publicly before. Nor should he have done that anyway.

The big Bruce says:
"I think he just had an outstanding five or six weeks with us. He's rekindled his desire to be a real player, and I think he's positioning himself to have a great World Cup."
Good god, I hope Bruce is right on that one. I'd like to see Donovan become an everyday player ... someone you can always count on irregardless of the importance of the match. Just think ... him and DaMarcus tearing it up ALL THE TIME. Great things can come from that.

he needs to catch up with beasley then. he is exactly that at PSV.

Are you saying Arena is building up Zavagnin when it's not warranted??
Heck, I don't want my D-mid to be too conspicuous - that means he's doing his job (and the rest of the side is doing pretty well defensively, too).

No room at Spurs. He can be in the side with McBride and Boca at Fulham.
