I get 18 days vacation, and 10 days sick, but that's only because I've been with the same company for almost 8 years.
Cam, do you really only get a half day for Christmas?

I did. I bought Nick the same track suit (but in the old Gooner red). I was pleased to see him wear it to class the other day.

No more holidays for me until Confederate Memorial Day which is some time toward the end of April.
Really. I'm not kidding.
I get V-J day off. Its a Rhode Island holiday. And every year I say, whaaa??!!

Hey phishy, are you back in the UK? I ask because ESPN is showing the reality show "Knight School" about kids trying to be a walk-on for Texas Tech and Bob Knight. I was looking for you in the first episode :)

It is going to be a really long day for me waiting for the match. I have to go in the field to stomp around in a marsh this afternoon, then Leigh is hosting her book club tonight so I have to take the kid out till about 9 pm.:mad: It'll be late tonight before I get to watch the win over RM.

Yep, a local non-profit (hey look at that TG!:D ) want to do some marsh restoration work. We are currently in the data collection mode (site visit, cursory enviro assessment, review historical aerials, etc.) and have a kick-off meeting on Thursday to figure out what we all want to do. Then we get stuck in with detailed investigations and design. Should be fun overall but being a big guy, walking in muck on a cold day is not too much fun. This skinny fellas don't have the same 'sinkage' problems I do!:D

I started brewing good stuff at home and bought a nice sized travel mug. It keeps it warm until I hit the office and slurp it down. Much better than the office's Folgers. **shudders**:eek:

a) Goon morning, goon morning, goon morning! Gameday, baby! Even have the red soccer tie on. No appointments this afternoon, so I plan to be hacking away at some project on the keyboard where I can at least keep the gamecast on hand. Let's get it on!
b) Cam! Nice guess my friend. 2 loads gone @ 2.4 tons, with what appears to be one load left. All to make room for a playset that we're now leaving behind. :rolleyes:
c) Currently enjoying the earned 3 weeks per year vacation here. Why is it that vacation status doesn't transfer over with new jobs? I'm moving up in salary scale and will have more underlings to manage, yet my vacation/sick leave allowances will be the same as a newbie? :mad:
d) BTW, anyone from our little clique happen to be in Nebraska Saturday night?
