It is reported that Togo FF has fired their manager Stephen Keshi, who led Togo in their WCQ campaign to get their first ever WC spot in Germany with 7 wins 2 draws and 1 loss, beating Senegal for the ticket.
However, Togo's 3 losses out of 3 in the recent African Nations cup has led the Togo FF to fire Keshi. Some site his strained relationship with Emanuel Adebayor as an additional factor.
So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Have the Togo FC been wise or foolhardy?
Who will be the new manager of Togo? Who will take on the job with only 4 months to go to the first match of the 2006 World Cup?
In Togo, Bernd Krauss (former Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and Real Sociedad coach) and Claude Leroy (DR Congo NT manager) are favorites to take the job.
The French press however is naming Phillipe Trousier (former JAPan manager) and Bruno Metsu (former Senegal Manager) as possible candidates.
