Just thought I'd give some free publicity to the most surprising team in Ligue 1 this year because they have clearly earned it.

Interesting how on the official site theres not a French and English language option but a French and Japanese language option.

They've signed Daisuke Matsui - so interest will be high in them from Japan.

Most surprising team eh? There's a certain team that is in the Coupe de la Ligue final that hasn't done too badly eh?

Anyhow. LeMans, Nancy, and Troyes, have shown how strong L2 has become. And parity is a good thing for French Soccer.

Yeah I knew as soon as I posted this thread you were gonna argue that Nancy are the most surprising team. 7th place in the league for a newly promoted team is more surprising than a team making a cup final because their's luck involved there.

Nancy are 4 points behind Le Mans with 1 game in hand. We'll see who finishes higher in the league by years end Sportboy.

Doesnt matter to me who finishes higher. I just wanna see both teams stay up. I prefer Ajaccio, Troyes, and Metz to be the teams that go down.

Lets just wait until the end of the year before we crown the surprise team of the year.

Unfortunatly it looks like we are going to trade Ajaccio for Bastia..... Uggg..

I kinda like Bastia. They did win the French Cup one year and they made the UEFA Cup final so they do have some decent history.

Me too. Ajaccio, Troyes go down, but Strasburg stays.
