While I'm at it...
The Giants have announced that 2005 California League Manager of the Year Lenn Sakata will return to the defending California League champions for 2006.
Lenn Sakata is the answer to a great Major League Baseball trivia question. Baseball Trivia for $800, Alex?

Will he be choosing the pitchers for this year's play-offs?

Lenn Sakata is the answer to a great Major League Baseball trivia question. Baseball Trivia for $800, Alex? He's actually the answer to two questions:
Who is the first Japanese-American in the Bigs, AND, who is the last person to start at SS for the Orioles before Cal Ripken started The Streak?

I suppose by specifying Japanese-American you're correct (preceeded many years earlier by Masanori Murakami, but he was a Japanese national). I was angling for answer #2.
Even more trivial...Sakata and former Pittsburgh Steelers K Roy Gerela matriculated at the same Hawaiian high school (Kalani High School...just across Kalanianaole Highway from Waialae Country Club, home of the Sony Open).

Thankfully, that was before the Hawaii news media started documenting every sneeze of "Hawaii's Own" in the World Series, like they did with Benny Agbayani in the 2000 Subway Series.

I'm contractually barred from commenting on this subject for the next 5 years under penalty of Grover Polizzi.

Are you coming down this year???Only for the St. Pat's weekend. I'm cutting back this year for a variety of reasons, most notably my Australia trip scheduled for 3 weeks in Sept/Oct.

St. Patricks weekend should be a blast this year! Maybe I will see you at Scottsdale Stadium, or one of the fine watering holes in the surrounding area!

We can usually be found at The Blue Moose or Karsen's Grill. Karsen's is our most likely nightcap.
