View Full Version : Will ANY African nation progress from the Group Stage?

I'm not sure that any will. Would be a shame as their flamboyant styles of play are very entertaining but looking at the groups the 5 nations are in its difficult to see. Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana are probably the strongest African nations but both are in very tough groups.

I think Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisia will make it out of group stages

I have to like Togo's chances of advancing. Their flame-out at the Africa Cup not withstanding, they are a tough squad playing in a weak group.

Tunisia will advance. It is a well coached and experienced team playing in a weak group.

Tunisia and possibly the Ivory Coast. It is hard to pick the Ivory Coast due to the fact that they have Argentina, Holland and Serbia & Montenegro in their group.

Ivory Coast and Ghana both have great chances to advance. I bet one of them will.

Ivory Coast is in the group of death, and has less then other African teams to advance. hardly they can get a point
