From the Sunday Mail:
"Every team decides how they want to win. I like to win playing well and within the rules.
'Some teams like to win at any cost. I have told my players to stay on their feet. I don't like to see them diving."
There is a succinct expression of the Liverpool way!

Oh well, there goes any hopes of seeing Freddy Adu in a red shirt!

ROFL. Perhaps Freddy can develop some spine -- won't happen at his supposed London destination.

Not trying to troll, but come on. Chelsea have players who dive, Liverpool have players who dive. Krompkamp just had a terrible dive the game before Robben did. But once Robben dives, Benitez suddenly realizes its wrong? I don't like diving either (and certainly didn't approve of Robben's actions), but this holier than thou stuff is ridiculous. Those who live in glass houses, etc. etc.

Where does his quote mention your club? Maybe your conscience troubles you? I saw him speaking about teaching some of our newer players the Liverpool way, that's it. It was a positive statement about our club.

First, your attempt to insult my intelligence is......well.......insulting. Of COURSE he's talking about the Robben incident. You know this full well, because Benitez hasn't stopped talking about it all week. And has been talking about it. And no, my conscience is fine, because while I greatly dislike what Robben did, it had no effect on the game. We were 2-0 up in the 83rd minute, and it should have been 3-0 but for a very poor call by the linesman.
Second, your attempt to insult my intelligence is amusing since the full Benitez quote is the following:
"Every team decides how they want to win. I like to win playing well and within the rules," Benitez told the Mail on Sunday
"Some teams like to win at any cost. I have told my players to stay on their feet. I don't like to see them diving."
Benitez is still furious with Robben for diving to get Reina sent off and has questioned the Dutchman's professionalism.
"He has dived, it is so clear," added Benitez. "I don't understand why you can kick everyone in a game then you touch one player and you are sent off.
"What kind of professional can you be against another professional if you leave the other player not playing for three games?" (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=362857&CPID=8&clid=&lid=&title=Benitez+hits+out+at+cheats)
I think somewhere in there he does mention my club.
Instead of being defensive you could just acknowledge that Benitez is being hypocritical, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Because a player who was just signed dived once, it's hypocritical?
I'm not even sure Kromkamp dived. Seemed like he jumped as he was loosing his balance, for the sake of not pulling anything.
You're being way too paranoid. You know, when it comes to anything in life, people tend to talk about a subject after something notable occurs in regards to said subject. "Ohh, that reminds me..."

First, how can I be paranoid when he mentions a player on my club? You know the saying "you're not paranoid if they're not out to get you"? He's clearly talking about Chelsea here. He says so for Dog's sake. Its not a veiled snide remark, its a direct accusation. How can I be paranoid when I KNOW he's talking about Chelsea?
And of course Krompkamp's dive was a dive. It was blatantly obvious and, to their credit, some posters on this board admitted it. And he's not the only one. Cisse dives. Sissoko dives, and he's been with Benitez for years. So either Rafa has had a Wenger size blind spot as far as Sissoko is concerned, or he's made this realization just after Robben's dive. I don't think Benitez is stupid, since he's a very good coach, so I think he's just being hypocritical and trying to draw attention away from an anemic performance at the Bridge. I'd guarantee Mourinho would have done the same after our anemic performance at Boro had something like that happened. I'm also sure Benitez's not happy about losing Reina for 3 games either - I wouldn't be either. But at the end of the day, yes, his comments are hypocritical.

Rafa was also angry at Bent's dive that gifted Charlton a penalty...
I say use video evidence afterwards and levy heavy suspensions for cheaters.

Against Chelsea, I think Reina should have and probably recieved the Red card for his tackle from behind before the Robben incident.

My quote doesn't mention your club and you are a hyper-defensive asswipe. Your board is chock full of quotes about "dirty scousers" from pimply 15 year olds in suburban America but we don't go on there and attack on every one. I repeat if the shoe fits wear it -- if you think it doesn't, then stay the heck away from here.

Well that's my opinion. Like I wrote to (not so) Nice, if you don't think it fits your club then don't bother us.

I'd also like to point out that Kromkamp has been about a month in England.
Robben is in his second full year of competing in four major competitions.

Perhaps no one would bother you if you didn't insist on posting directly inciteful posts. Kind of basic common sense really.

The part about Robben is what Rafa said directly after the Chelsea game. Whatever article you got that from is just bringing back old news to try to make it about Chelsea.
Here is the link to what Rafa said after the Chelsea match:
