INTERNACIONAL vs NACIONAL
Tonight a rematch of the 1980 Libertadores Final. In 80 Nacional got the best of it with a 0-0 tie at the Beira Rio and then a 1-0 win at home in Montevideo for the title.
Tonight Inter expects a crowd of around 40,000 and the fans demand a win. The pressure for Inter to perform well in the Libertadores is especially strong because crossstown Rival Gremio is a 2 Time Libertadores Champion and for 23 years now Inter fans are constantly reminded of this by Gremio fans. How things would have been different if Inter had beaten Nacional in that 1980 final.

Wow...Inter DESTROYED Nacional...in one of the best games Ive ever seen Inter play in. Nacional looked dead fom minute 1. It could easily have been 8x0 , instead ended "just" 3x0. If Inter plays like this every game....we will be the Champs. What a game!

I don't completely agree with that.
I watched the 2nd half and Inter dominated the game completely and a few minutes when I started thinking:
"Man, Inter is doing everything perfect until they get close to Nacional's box"
Then the narrator said exactly the same thing.
Inter had speed, perfect passing, perfect team work and BAM they kept on running into Nacional's defense.

I always had a preference for Inter above the other Brazilian teams... they are well known in Chile because that's where Elias Figueroa became a star.
Really hope they do good in Libertadores. Nacional is the team to beat really... although Maracaibo showed some interesting things in the game against UNAM, both teams are rather weak.

I'm rooting for Inter, cause Wason plays there, would be nice if he's allowed to play in the second half.....

Wason Renteria is a fan favorite. He comes in and scores. In the Brasileirao he was decisive in a few key games. Problem is getting him in the games. I wish he was in there more, but hes not even in with Sobis being injured, so Im not sure when he will get a shot.

I just got my special limited edition Figeroa #3 retro Inter Jersey, in celebration of the 30th aniversary of Inters 1975 Brazilian Championship. There were only 1975 shirts made. I have one of them. Just like the one he wears in the photo below:

Grande INTER!
Anither solid win...the team is playing very well...they should be 3-0 if it wasnt for a last minute blunder against Maracaibo....Im starting to think about looking into Hotels in japan for December!
Inter bench is a Luxurious bench with Renteria, Mosoro, Perdigao, Jorge Vagner...wow! And yes Renteria is very exciting..him and Mosoro play very well together...and Tinga is a Machine...Fernandao a killer....the team is doing Great!

Sadly, Fox Sports World Em Espanhol, has put the Live Europe/(possibly)Asia-Wide coverage of Internacional (Brasil) vs. Pumas UNAM (Mexico,) on recorded AGAIN!!!
However, there is a one percent chance, it might be on CCTV Soccer.
I'll see when it's gametime.
