I was talking to a few friends and what started as me and one person watching the friendly at Vaughan's has become about 8 people right now. I am stuck in CT doing family birthday things all weekend, so I will be at Vaughan's Public house, directions are on Vaughan's website (http://www.irishpublichouse.com)

Sorry about the late notice, but this turned into a plan at 11pm last night as I told my friends that I wanted to go watch it there. So any other supporters that want to join us, we should be arriving at around 10pm or so.

im guessing you werent there? i should have called. didnt see you there anyways.

that place sucked anyhow. i had to bitch for 10 minutes to get them to turn the channel to ESPN2, and they would only turn on one small set in the corner where there was no room to stand and watch the friggin match.

there were probably better pubs to plan on watching the game at.

i was annoyed so i promptly left without getting a drink and came home to watch the game.

good game. hope you got to see it.

You must have went to the wrong pub!!

We were both there, and Vaughn's Public House had it on the big screen from the start. Plenty of standing room. This is the pub on Pratt Street.

you're ********ing joking.

i was there like 20 min early, and they were all ignoring me, acting like they had NO idea what i was talking about, and said that the Olympics were on the big screen, sorry. they would only turn on one small set by the bar and acted like that was the biggest hassle in the world to them. bullshit.

******** that place. sorry i missed ya.

John Vaughn, the owner, will always put on a soccer games. I know him, went up to him 5 minutes before the start and asked him to put the match on. It was on the big screen before it started.

Sorry you had that experience with I'm assuming someone on the bar staff, but I recommended the pub to edlova, and the match not being shown there was never an issue.

yeah like Mike said...if you had asked the owner (wearing the grey shirt) he would have said yes...he was a nice guy and came and talked to us for a while once the game started. Sorry you had a bad experience and you should have given me a call when you got there...oh well, see you once the season starts
