Okay you Deutschland locals where are the cool spots to get jacked up before, and celebrate after the US wins? We need to get in proper voice before the match right?

I would like to see this go toward the nontouristed watering holes but so be it.

Koln can be included for the first game (since that is where I'm coming from).

Heidelberg can be included in the second game (since Kaiserslautern is a US army barracks annex!).

Nurenberg?

Hell, why not all ten cities!?

Sams Army take notes!

Since Germany has the highest consum per capita of 115l per year there are tons of spots. Your best bet is to go into a local brewery/local.

Notable in Berlin is the "house of 1000 beers".

Thanks berni

I am very much the local brewery type of guy. I bet Sams-Army will have the low down. If you haven't seen the "what beers in Germany" thread, check it out, it's pretty good.

Berlin, great city. Won't be able to make that one however. Anything in Nurenburg?

Just saw the US run circles around Japan last night. I can't wait for June!

You're going to a country where beer is a national treasure. On top of that, they're throwing their biggest party in a long time, a world celebration of the sport they love. You won't be able to get out of your hotel room without wandering into a party of some sort.

But, if you're looking specifically to party with other Americans prior to US games, Sams Army will definitely be organizing something, both the night before, and the day of. Also, Yanks-Abroad.com is organizing something they're calling "Red, White and Brew," which will be the night before each US opening round game. They are also going to be throwing them in March, prior to the two friendlies against Poland and Germany.

When will Yanks-Abroad let out their plan?

They're hoping to have it finalized early to mid May. In Kaiserslautern, they will likely be using the same place that they are using prior to the Poland friendly, Brauhaus am Markt.

Hi Schoey, I am from Germany (ner Stuttgart if you have a WorldCup Map)

i would recommend you to drink and stay in Cologne, i think the US play there??

There are sooo many bars and pubs and stuff... the beer there is called "Kölsch", its not such a strong beer but its served in 0,2litre glasses... You can drink 15 or more of them:D Also, the people there are all very nice to foreigners youll have a great party:cool:
