Why are there two forums on this board, one for the UK and one for Europe?
By all latest measurements, the UK is still in Europe. Ireland is in Europe, so why not the UK? Whence this ridiculous insular approach to football? The UK does not even exist for World Cup purposes or as one League!
Then again the way Tony Blair has been kissing up to George Bush, perhaps The British are no Europeans after all.
And....David Beckham still thinks life is Hollywood....
Let's have a vote!

Because a majority of the people on this board are a)American, hence the bits about the US, and b)British, hence the dedicated sections about UK football.
The poll is basically pointless.

Have you looked at what this guy's posted elsewhere?
1) He wants to ban the USA from FIFA competitions for "aggression against Iraq".
2) He wants to ban all four British teams from FIFA competitions for "backing American aggression against Iraq".
3) He says racism in football is natural and acceptable, and laughs at the UK for trying to eliminate it.
If this is an attempt to be inflammatory, it's not exactly working... I find it all very amusing, actually.

This guy is basically a grade a prat. Lets face it. We have allready had the debate about why Englad, Scotland, etc all compete separately, yet are all politically part of the UK.
Surely by now, he must realise that starting such a thread is going to get him nowhere?

nah, UK listed on it's own looks better than listed under Europe......who'd wanna be in the same category as France & Germany? :)

Well, sometimes even when they are not talking about the European Union and Parliament, English people do tend to say "Europe" and not mean themselves. Funny, because as egocentric as many Americans are, we never say "North America" in such a way but we do tend to use the adjective "American" not to its fullest meaning and mean just people who live or were born in the US.
