I'm going to try to set up an index for the away games, mostly for those games not covered by the supporters clubs. I can step up again for the games at HDC, but if anyone wants to take lead elsewhere just say so below and I'll add your name to the index. Even if there aren't many non-local supporters in your area, it's still better if you can go as a group.

I assume supporters clubs will step up for some of them, but beyond the Metros games I didn't want to be presumptive. But when you know the sure things (or the almost sure things) let me know.

i'm glad you added the modifer, as we surely never have a sure thing. we'll have the "elders meeting" soon, i can commit then.

Jessica and I are talking tonight. When we've come up with a sked, we'll let you know.

We'll almost certainly go to Houston, if only because I can get cheap flights, it will be a key late-season game, it will be our first chance to visit, and I know the city almost like the back of my hand.

I'll be at the July 8th game in Columbus for certain.

But unlike the back of my hand, it isn't going to smack you upside the face the next time you're near it :D

Okay, Paul and I spoke last night and I'd say a Screaming Eagles Houston trip is a sure thing.

I'm thinking we'll also do the 7/22 to Chicago and I'm thinking out one more trip (besides NJ).

If anyone is coming for the game in Denver, let me know and I'll get some of the local DC fans together for tailgate and whatnot.

That's in the middle of the World Cup, right?

Yes, it is. Kind of poor timing. First US match is the next day.

klh23 - Have you seen this thread: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178181

Knave,

I have not seen it. Thanks. Let's try to coordinate something.

klh23 - All you really need is one person to step forward to take the lead. It's not a lot of work and it's worthwhile. I'll probably start a thread sometime soon detailing my experience organizing away groups. It won't be comprehensive, and don't mistake what I write for any kind of expertise. But I can tell folks what's worked for me and what hasn't.

knave,

I'm all about learning and it would be nice to sit with other DC fans in Invesco. It shouldn't be a issue.

There's a real nice little group of former DCites out in Colorado, including two people who were highly active SEs in the 1990s. One of them usually puts together a DC ticket group (she doesn't typically post on BS), so you might want to contact her. Send me a PM.

BTW, there's a good chance I'll be out there myself this year for that game :D
