I'm a big Montoya fan. I met him a few times when he drove CART here and I think he is a great guy and a great driver who is fun to watch.

I like watching the last few laps of the race, and the build up before. The middle bit is jus ta bit dull for me.
Having said that, when i went to Monte Carlo i walked around the circuit and through the tunnel, then sat at the Cafe de Paris for a drink. It was pretty cool. I can see why people love it so much. The noise inside that tunnel was incredible.

If by man you mean "guy who has no idea how to save his equipment and is consistently second best in whatever team he drives for", then yes, Montoya is the man.

used to be a huge F1 fan. used to go when they came to detroit back in the 80s. was euphoric when F1 came back to the states just a few miles down the road from me (indianapolis).
stopped going a couple years back, though. cutting edge equiptment used to be exciting, but the levels of technology now have almost made drivers obsolete. the politics are laughable (always have been, though). genuine 'racing' disappeared years ago.
what sucks so bad is that everyone's known for years what the sport needs - more mechanical grip, and less aerodynamic grip - but they'll do nothing about it. geez it'd be great if they could actually pass again. can't sacrifice the advertising space on the wings, though, can we?
sorry, i guess i have nothing to add to this thread, unless someone want's to talk about john watson or patrick depaillier.

that's basially what i mean. He always gets killed on the grid starts. he was great in CART and until pitstops where his stuff fails.bad times. hes a nice guy though i met him a few times

I'm hoping Kimi will win in next year. In my opinion, he is a better driver then Alonso but Alonso had the much better car last season.
I enjoyed what the new circuits this year had to offer, especially Bahrain.
Does anyone watch A1?

Montoya is a bit of an ass really from what I hear, not content to be number two to Kimi at McLaren. I don't think he'll last there very long, and it'll be particularly interesting to see where things go when Alonso joins in 2007.
McLaren may have had the best car performance-wise last year, but it was terribly unreliable after being rushed into service too quickly. Not to take away from what Alonso and Renault did though.

Trulli. I also like to see these guys do well:Heidfeld, Rosberg, Button(a little,I believe he will won this year.) Barrichello.
No team fave.
I was a Damon Hill fan.
Pookspur made a good point. WITNESS THIS...> My mom was over one Sunday last year and I was watching a race. After a few minutes she asked, "Are those cars being driven by robots!?!?". lol.
Turns out she couldn't figure out where the driver was. She thought the helmet was the robot!!
